Paul Meli is running against the incumbent Ralph Suozzi. While they have their own different names fr their parties, they are essentially Republican vs the incumbent Democrat

Ralph Suozzi has been a good mayor for Glen Cove since when he was first elected under bi-partisan support from both Democrats and Republicans. I believe this support has not changed and a good man will be reelected. I liked his father, Vinny, too!

Glen Cove needs a change and needs to start spending money more wisely. We are spending in deficit and the current mayor doesn't know how to fix that.

Think of it this way.... In the last 15-20 years, Glen Cove has only gone downhill.... and, most (if not all) Mayors were Democrats! Make the switch - and get a Republican in office and see if we can clean up this mess we are in. I do like Ralph as a person, he is a good man (far better than his cousin Tom); but we need an aggressive leader to lean up Glen Cove, and get a handle on the monies - and make our schools better so we can get new families moving in here..... Lower our damn taxes! Avalon has how many years of grace-persion that they don't have to pay taxes? Thats ridiculous!
