The question is, "Which group of inmates is running the asylum?" My guess is the one that'll make the most money ?

Location, location, location = NOT. Damn the real parking, access, and effect on other business issues, "the show must go on......."

There is a vanishingly small number of people who support this monstrosity, and they hired hookers of various ages and sexes to sleep with the town board members to convince them of the need for "theatrics" downtown.
The Performing Arts Center has been rejected by people voting with their feet for the past 20 years. SOPA is dead. Long live SOPA.

Count my name on the list of opposition to this project for reasons I have stated previously. I am not a downtown merchant or store owner, but I do care about the use and future of downtown. EPIC has no specific plan, no realistic numbers to present, or anything that would suggest that their proposal will succeed in doing anything other than taking up public parking spaces.

Sometime back one of the arguments by EPIC concerning congestion and parking downtown was stated as "I don't see where three hours at a time six to 10 times a year would be a problem"! How the hell can a theater be profitable with those kind of hours. A multi million dollar eysore in the middle of town sitting vacant. Let them rent out the high school auditorium for their performances with the money going to education.

The trustees did the right thing. The inappropriate response from the crowd after the vote-down showed just exactly how "philanthropic" the people involved in this really were. They were all in it for money and themselves, not to do something good for the community. Good riddance.

To your dreams. This will come back as a smaller version with parking on the first level. I garantee it. And it will be run by six people who working 80 hours per week for nothing, and the land will be completely donated without any concern about taxes, and it will be designed for free, and the businesses that occupy it will be charged no rent, and any money made will be donated to Crossroads, and any tax revenue made will be doubled by the six people running things and used to pay off the debt.
