Trail-Gazette endorses three for trustee

Full story: Estes Park Trail-Gazette

One of the many important roles a community newspaper has beyond general news reporting, occasional enterprise packages, timely people features, and providing forums for readers to speak out, is the endorsement of office-seekers and local legislation.

safe TG. Couldn't support Wendy since she tells the truth. I agree with the endorsement of Bob Holcomb.

To the individual that commented above. Telling the truth does not need to include comments that are insensitive toward the many who come here from all over the world to live the American dream. All of us came from somewhere at some point! Her wording and referencing is out of line and by the way, not all Mexicans are migrant workers nor is there a Eastern Block......

How can anyone support an incumbent that does so far out of touch! Estes is a great place that deserves to be represented with better informed individuals.

Ellis Island? To live the American dream means coming through the correct channel of the law LEGALLY. Geez.

It always puzzles me why no one puts their name in these comments. The Trail-Gazette has done its homework. It is engaged and informed on the Trustee Candidates. They have based their endorsements on the facts that were presented to them. I would hope they have educated and informed those that had neither the time or inclination.

Now if we could get the paper to publish the true numbers on how much Anschutz will extract from the revenue stream concerning the "wellness"center, then maybe we'd have something we could trust.
What is the franchise percentage?...10,15,25, or even 50+ percent as many franchises charge. Why is this number hidden from us? why can't the issue be presented with reasonable dis -closure?
As the whole premise of The Anschutz/EPMC is presented as a revenue stream for the beleaguered hospitable, the franchise percentage would be an important consideration for our vote.
May we ask the Trail to add investigative journalism to their self proclaimed list of responsibilities? Have they even called Anschutz?
We do not

have to put our names on these comments. That's why. It's called a choice not mandated by the liberal way of thinking which is your way or the highway. Yeah, the Trail Gazette did it's homework because you agree with them...remember they also "did their homework" on Christie Adams the goof ball who ran for school board. Memory fart Chuk or selected memory?

the Trail Gazette keep deleting comments from this thread? We should be up to about 30 comments at my last count as well as the article on Wendy's statements.
Because they are dickless

without Charles D. Dickless at the helm telling them how to respond and how to publish a paper. He is a dickless, talentless hack contractor who was chased out of Wyoming for his tiny thoughts and even tinier pepe

Hey Gazette, You failed to mention Fishman's Assault and Battery charges. Ask him sometime about beating up some old man who caused problems in his restaurant. Is this really someone we want on the town board of a primarily retirement aged community?

Someone as to remind the old farts that they aren't the only reason for being in this town! Sounds like Fishman has a badge of honor......
