Why should taxpayers have to foot the bill because YOU choose to live in the mountains? It's like people who choose to live on cliffs or build on sand and then when rains come, the taxpayers have to pay for their foolishness.

You could say the same about someone who builds in areas where their is the possibility of, a tornado, a hurricane, an earthquake, a flood from a nearby river, a blizzard, a place where a car has a chance of going off a road and hitting a house, an unexpected wildfire, or a city block that may go up in flames due to a gas leak, Oh right, I guess anywhere you choose to build has some inherent risk, perhaps everyone should consult you in your infinite wisdom as to where it' acceptable to build and live.
So where do you reside that is impervious to all acts of nature?
