Your headline is insulting. Are you sure there were no other "victims" of the snow. I sat in the canyon for 2 hours on tuesday night, while rescue crews worked to clear an accident. I am not sure the status of the driver, but I would guess that if they survived they might be considered a "victim" of the snow.
I know that Estes Park never wants to report anything bad happens in their tourist town, wouldnt want to scare off those tourist dollars. But sometimes bad things do happen to the residents of this town, for example fires. Please have a little consideration for the residents rather than paint a rosy picture, when the facts are otherwise.

We have got to stop gilding the lily as far as our news that goes out nationwide. If we want to privately think or hope that all is well, that is fine, but how would we have handled a horible insident like the school shooting, by saying there were "indoor fireworks" at the local school and people had extensive fainting sessions from the surprise and we would provide updates as to their condition and then never provide these updates? What is the status of the investigation into the schooting of an Estes Park residence that was was held out so tantalisingly one month ago?
Inquiring minds want to know.
