Review: Banfield The Pet Hospital

Banfields, Dr Sobowale is a vile and malicious fraud. In fact all of Banfield's doctors are frauds.
He intentionally misdiagnosed my cat with an ear infection and peridontal disease to extract more money from me.
There was nothing whatsover wrong with my cat. He was acting. playing and eating as normal without any signs of an ear infection.
The next day I took my cat to a legitimate vet, who confirmed my suspicions. THe cat's ears were healthy as well as his teeth. I insisted that the real vet do a ear culture to prove that SOBOWALE was and still is a fraud and a liar.
The culture was negative of course.
I took the proof to Sobowale and he tried to deny everything. He lied over lies and tried to keep me silent. I was screaming telling everyone in Bannfield and Petsmart about the scam. I did save 2 people, who left and said they would never return.
I called the Banfield headquarters and talked to a patient reprentative but the woman never returned my call, like she promised she would. Once she took my complaint, she never answered any of my subesequent calls.
The entire operation is a pyramid scheme, filled with lies, cheating and stealing, misdiagnosis to prey on the emotions of pet owners and their pocketbooks
STAY AWARE FROM THIS FOR PROFIT PET HOSPITAL.

DVM's and fraud go hand in hand. They over bill, do testing and x-ray your wallet.

I worked for a DVM and he was honest he didn't make big money, but the big places always over bill and lie. The puppy always has kennel cough or worst pneumonia ($1500-$2000) and the puppies were fine. The puppy always has giardia is the same parasite that gives humans diarrhea and they would charge people $30-$60 for pennies worth of diarrhea medication. Ear infections and ear mites were always good scams. Never pay for anything always go to a second DVM! Never get x-rays they have told lies on the x-rays to many of our clients.
Beware of fraud in the pet industry find an honest DVM.

I'm not sure who Percy is talking about. The Dr. Sobowale I knew at Banfield was the opposite of vile and malicious. The one I knew always went out of his way to help whenever and wherever he could. Any diagnosis he made was never forced upon me, and I was there for over 5 years.
So, I'm thinking, something just don't add up here. Percy, I think the vile and malicious statement was misapplied. I took my puppy to an emergency vet in Baltimore once. They wanted to place a drain tube in a healing cut to drain away fluids. Cost:$400. I said no and the cut healed all on its' own. Did I consider them "vile and malicious"? No.
I took my car for a tire rotation and balance. They did that and showed me a list of things "wrong" with the car. Cost:$2500+. I said no and 6 months later the car is still driving just fine. Did I consider them "vile and malicious? Heck no. Percy, that is business 101. In the end, you always have the option to walk away and move on.
Dude, you just need to get a life and stop throwing up all over the internet!

This may or may not be the same person but I remember an incident at this Banfield with similar circumstances, only Percy may have been the husband trying to calm a very drunk wife down. The more he tried, the louder she got. The people she "saved" did leave, but I suspect that they just wanted to get out of her way. I felt some sympathy for her because obviously she was distraught with her cat's poor health. The problem was, you just cannot reason with a person in an altered mental state. If she was sober, I may not have had doubts as to the claims she was making, however, my own experiences with drunken individuals told me to take them with a grain of salt. A big sea-salt grain!
My question is, what does the pet hospital have to do with a pyramid scheme? Secondly, are all the pet hospitals this "Percy" goes to, "Non-profit"? I wish he/she would do something more productive than bitching and share that list of non-profit pet hospitals with the rest of the readers. I personally cannot find any in the area.
Finally, in 25+ years of corporate management, I've had many occasions to interact, sometimes unwillingly, with other working professionals. Did any of them make mistakes? You bet. Did any of them left me holding the short end of the stick? Quite a few did. Were they being vile and malicious? I didn't think so, we are all human, and more importantly, we all react differently to an intoxicated individual in our faces demanding a pint of our blood. Just think about that whenever you get a sober minute, "Percy".

I'm not from Ozone Park NY, I'm from Severna Park Maryland. I have no idea why that was posted that way.

Louise you are a troll working for Banfield and are part of the pyramid scheme. Banfield is a corporate chain that is notorious for scams. The woman you are falsely accusing as being drunk was as sober as a judge. Her cat was HEALTHY and Sobowole fraudulently diagnosed her cat with an ear infection that NEVER existed. He also tried to give the cat a blood transfusion for fleas. LOL. The cat was taken to Everhart Animal Hospital, the next day. Everhart has in business for over 50 years. The Vet gave the cat a clean bill of health, even taking a ear culture to prove that the cat was fraudulently misdiagnosed. She was appalled at the medical fraud taken place at Banfield. This was far from being the only case. The receptionist at Everhart said that many pet owners had similar stories of the fraud taken place at Banfield. Since this incident, more pet owners have come forward with the scams of Sobowole. So Louise, YOU are a lying troll. Peddle your lies and false proxy location somewhere else
