Lol! Wow! OMG! You think I'm a lunch lady?! Funny.
Good for you! Sounds like you're a reasonably responsible mother, but who knows...this is topix, the MOST credible site known. Nice of you to post your name. However; I have no idea who you are nor do I care. Anyhow, I'm so glad you mentioned that your tax dollar pays for your child's education....oops, I meant child care. I forgot...schools are just day cares in today's times.
You don't assume that your tax dollar pays for my anything...except for grandmother's SS.... Oh and since lunch room staff aren't State employees, your tax dollars doesn't "sign their paycheck." Everyone in this country except for very few pay taxes....like that means you control or have a say in how your taxes are spent? Sorry...try again.
So, finally, here is the problem with today's society....worthless parents that want to blame everyone but themselves. In a last desperate attempt to make themselves look like they have any dignity, they use their children. Also, those who would rather argue via Topix about issues that need to taken elsewhere...the problem might get fixed if it was reported! I doubt school personnel use this highly credible resource to evaluate themselves.
And to student...grow up. If your big enough to get on Topix and talk like a grown person, then you're capable of making sure you have money in your pocket to eat...or take your own lunch. And don't reproduce...
I don't know if you just like to argue, or if you have a personality disorder. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I know that school workers are not Tennessee State employees. Every public school in Tennessee are supported by Federal taxes, State taxes, County taxes, and City taxes. I don't know everything about a school budget, but I know if a school receives federal money for free/reduced lunches, they have Federal guidelines to follow. I am not a genius, neither are you. I do suspect you work in the lunchroom, and I would still call you a b!tch to your face.

oh well you are perfect super mom, do you have a job and how old are your kids
I know you weren't directing this at me. But I will say that my child doesn't go hungry because I do strive to be as you call it "super mom"! In fact, any child that comes to my house will not go away with empty bellies. I have a full time 40 hour a week job and my child is 10 years old. No excuses! If someone can't take care of their kids properly, they're lazy and uncaring! It doesn't take a genius to raise a kid properly, but it does take caring more about your kids than you do yourself! As in making sure their needs come before your wants. Student, if your parents are not that way I do feel for you. Mine weren't but I learned from their mistakes!
