it doesn't matter. she has said that if she gets mayor that tony terrell will no longer have a job. i think that tony is a great, respected man in this town and she needs to leave him alone. he does a great job. plus if she thinks she is the hardest working woman in gleason then she needs to step back and look around. you got women working in fields, in schools, picking taters, digging holes, mowing their yards, at the bank, in resturants, babysitting, leaving town to go to work, then you got diane. she should have put hardest working woman for gleason.

It's a campaign thing. Quit being offended by everything. Also, Tony has an important job with the Water testing and has job security with his training and knowledge. They are both respected people that anyone could count on. Everything will be ok.

why can't Gleason get someone to run for mayor that the people would actually take seriously? and I don't mean Randy Stewart, Bubba Dumb or a Godwin. Someone young that actually has a business sense and a head on their shoulder? I mean, Little Jack or Diane Poole, come on now.

Well why would anyone really want that job? The pay?

"For the term beginning in August 2004, the compensation for the mayor will
be two hundred dollars ($200) per month; and the compensation for each alderman shall
be one hundred dollars ($100) per month."
source: http://www.tn.gov/sos/acts/103/priv/pr0085.pd...

I mean I guess the status and power are enough to entice anyone?

It's hard to tell if that is the minimum to be paid or what our mayor actually gets paid. It said an ordinance could change it
