So my KINDERGARTENER came out of the school doors today and informed me that a 1st grade teacher told the kids "get back against the wall P*ss*es you not a Teacher". My child was NOT the only child who heard it. I spoke with another parent that her child told her the same thing. I went to the office and they act like it is no big deal and casualy say ok we will take care of it. The other parent asked me to go to the Board of Edu in Dresden so I did. They asked my 6.y.o several times if maybe they heard the teacher wrong. My 6y.o DOES NOT know what that word means other then off the movie Puss in boots! Why in the world would the kids come out and say she said that word of all words if she hadn't? I have a feeling that the school system will decide that it was jus a miss understanding. I am beside myself on what to do.....

Sometimes little kids hear things and they think it is something else.

I was a Special Ed teacher there. In one of my reading classes we were reading "Bridge to Terabithia". We would sometimes follow along with the audio tape.I had split level classes with 5th 6th and 7th grades in my room. The 5th graders went back and told their homeroom teacher they heard the F-word 3 or four times on the audio tape.

The homeroom teacher wanted to know what I had the students reading. Her class had read the book earlier in the year and when I told her what we were reading we came ot the conclusion the kids mis-heard something.

This is pretty common among young kids and teenagers.

Before you say or do anything why don't you call the teacher and ask her/him about the situation?

Being as more that one kid heard it..makes wonder...also wonder about some of the teachers now and staff...they seem to encourage bullying by playing favorites.

I can see the point of view on miss hearing the word bc that was my 1st reaction but as I listened to my child tell me the story again I really don't see how they could have. I could understand that if it was a common curse word that they were thinking they heard but such a volger word used in that manner. They weren't even telling on the Teacher for using that word it just hurt thier feelings that she called them a name. It is not even a Kindergarten teacher! They can tell you where her class is but not her name so it's not like we are trying to pick on the kids teacher bc we dont like her we love our childrens teacher it's just has me beside myself. I was told the that I would get a call yesterday after talking to a few people about it from school and still have not heard a word from any one......

That's what I thought was said but when my child stuck to the story and the other child did as well when they were seperated it made me wonder how they could mix up a word and both think it was the same word. Now I just hope our children are not singled out bc of this :(

sorry to tell you this but i am a student in Gleason and yes your child will be singled out now. if any parent has been to the office all of the office workers will make sure they single out your child! the staff sticks together whether they know a teacher was wrong!

Get a job. U welfare moms just love to complain... The teachers are paying for your welfare through taxes and u want to start some craziness! We have too many dead beat moms who don't take the time to better themselves and now the children will follow in moms footsteps cause they don't know better. Why didn't u go straight up to e door when it happened? Scared of confrontation? I don't believe it happened!

Yeah..ok..WOW..I said I went to the office and in which I did! And as far as you comments I am NOT on welfare I am a SubTeacher so I know what Teachers do and all the do NO I am not causing drama! I am a mom first then a Resource parent in school getting my CDA's not that is any of you bussines! You don't have to believe it happened but we have the matter settled! It DID happen not by the person the kids thought said it but it WAS heard and that came from the school!!! As far as being scared of confrontation I fighured confronting or atacking a Teacher in front of students is not the best idea...does that not make sense to you? I am done I am sure you will have more comments but like I said I ws not atacking any one or trying to hurt feelings if I were I would have put names but I left them out for a reason!!!

That's Gleason High School for you.

The office is terrible at helping and never helps you and plus the staff is crappy anyways. That school is corrupt and completely crap. I hated it when I went there but I managed to finish it. I feel sorry for your child when he/she goes to hs there.

Believe me you'll do better sending your kid to Dresden where he will be smarter and get a better education. Drugs in school this year a lot of fights etc. Plus the staff only cares about money. a Special ED high school student needed extra help on her HW. The prinipical said we would have to pay someone some more money to get a teacher to help you. They don't care about the students.

I am a grad. of gleason along with my brother and sister and now my brother and i take our kids to gleason. we love it. we have always been taught to respect others and so we and our children are respected. it all depends on your attitude!!! if you don't like it at gleason, don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out. The grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side. Ha Ha, just ask those that have left our school and now have come back!!!!!!!!!

1st if she needs extra help, it's called get a tutor. If parents can't afford one then the parent can help her with homework...part of a parent's responsibility. The school has before and after school help sessions...she should show up. 2nd, there are drugs and fights in every school so no one is getting away from that. The only reason u hear about it at Gleason is because it's a small school and the kids get caught. Teachers don't chose their profession for a paycheck. Why would anyone want to put up with a room full of disrespectful kids and on top of that deal with their ignorant parents...making on average 35K a year!

Let me guess...u probably barely got by any of ur classes or maybe didn't even graduate! U work a minimum wage job or barely more and have no interest to futher ur education. I'm sure ur reputation is hardly an upstanding too. If I'm wrong and ur actually a successful member of society...then u can thank a teacher, a GLEASON teacher.

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Scorpio

You're in a nicely emotional and loving mood today, and you'll be happiest if you can be with some of the special people in your life for at least part of the day. You don't have to do anything terribly special when you're together, either, because simply sharing a relaxing meal or watching television together will be enough. If you get talking, the conversation will turn to confidences and secrets.
