Please tell me why a street murder is different than any other kind of murder.. If they were punished the same way.. less murders would occur..
you have the chesire killings..which were horrific..and that is murder..and you have this is murder..why do they not serve the same sentence..I have heard of people serving 2-3 years for a street murder.. that is a walk in the park and a joke.. so as they are tightening the home invasion laws..lets tighten the murder laws.

Leave it to Tina Brown and the Hartford Courant to glorify a homicide and gang murders. These people are leeches on society and contribute absolutely NOTHING to society at all. Typical of Tina Brown to cover this story and make them seem cool to all of the ghetto rats! Too bad she and her boss can not cover any other story with any degree of accuracy.
She's reporting a story. How is reporting a story making this guy seem cool? If anything, it shows how inept our criminal justice system is. This guy was involved in 2 murders - one of which was an innocent child - and he's back on the streets? I mean, drug trafficking, assaults, accessory after the fact for a murder. The list goes on and on. How many more murders does this guy needs to commit or be involved in? I say this was an excellent article because if anything, hopefully the prosecutor will take all of this into account. For all we know (as we saw in the Cheshire killings), all the necessary document that should be in his file, may not reach somebody's desk in time to make the necessary decisions to keep his behind locked up. At least now, this article is in the paper, there will be no excuses for not locking his raggedy azz up and throwing away the key.

Dailey was placed on federal probation in June 2005 but was found in violation of its conditions in August 2006 after being arrested in Hartford on drug charges.

Following a federal violation of probation

Dailey pleaded guilty in March 1996 to federal charges

You need to ask the Feds, not the state
