KIDS NEED TO BE HELP TOO

why is there no one to help the kids that kid bullied on the school bus or in school.it's like there is no one to help these kids that get bullied. all the Principal,Guidance Counselor do is sit there and talk to the Students and tell them not to do it again.that sure don't help any cause it keep going on. I think they will do something when a Student fights then they will get suspended thats when the Principal do something..Or it's fine for another kid to tell someone that they are going to kill them and that kid don't into trouble when they say that to a kid..LIKE WOW there is no action took place when that happen.or they make it out to be the kids that get bullied there fault and I think it's not fare to them..I think thats why most of the kids either go to night school, homeschool or drop out of school all together.SOMETHING NEED TO BE DONE PARNTS NEED TO STAND UP FOR THERE KIDS LIKE MOST OF THEM DOING. NOT SIT AT HOME ON THERE BUTTS DOING NOTHING,WELL MOST OF THEM ARE WORKING AND THE KIDS TOO SCARED TO TELL THERE PARNTS.

I went to SA and dealt with the same bullshit. What a lot of it comes down too is the teachers and staff just dont care. Most don't care about the kids getting an education let alone what they're doing to each other. When I attended there once a bully pushed me into the old gym teacher. The teacher fell into a locker. I got suspended. Problems like this plague a lot of schools and kids nowdays. Hell, tell the kids to write letters to the local news, they like doing stories like that.

I think a bigger issue is the lack of funding to the English dept.

What people don't seem to understand is that what happens in school effects these kids most of their lives. When they don't feel wanted at school they don't want to be there and the education is lost. Teachers, principles, guidance counselors, parents all need to work together to help these kids. They are kids trying to grow up in a not so good world and it's hard. They need our support! But, again our district doesn't seem to have the education and they are not willing to work with any kid that is having special needs. I'm sorry, but they need to start and earn the salaries that they are getting. I'm not saying that they do nothing what I am saying is not all kids are "A" students with perfect home environment. There are kids with ADDH/ some minor MHMR/ some just have not been taught at home and the mental development is not there. These are the kids that are problems for the teaching staff and they feel these kids are disturbing the class room. Well, these are kids they really need your help! Don't push them aside.

most of these children that you speak of are completely hopeless. Our school system is not for the troubled youth with learning disabilities. That's what mon valley school is for or that school inside the mall. These kids that speak of that are not learning or disruptive should be thrown out of the system then. If the parents didn't spend enough time preparing their bastard child for what's gotta be the hardest school to graduate from, then they don't deserve to be in the classroom with students who do want to learn. It's not like the schools are teaching rocket science! Maybe it shouldn't be the schools responsibility anymore if the parents won't groom their kids first. Why should the majority suffer because jonny in the back of the class who's always on his smart phone, can't figure out how to multiply 6x8?

First off, no kid is hopeless. Weve been with this district for 4 years now. I have kids at the Elementary school. I also have a son that is still waiting on an IEP. Ive been to the school several times this year for bullying. But the asst principle knows everything. He likes to call the kids that get bullied into his offoce and put the blame on them. I have that was threatened by a student that was his friend at oone time because his sister and my daughter were arguing. But wwas this kid punished? NO. Tried talking to parents. Useless. I see 8 yr olds wearing makeup and short shirts. Who sends thier kid to school like that? Why is there no reprocussion for threats and bullying? Asst Principles favorite line. We cant discuss consequences or the kid had a bad day. Thats not the answer. Look at the girl from Canada that just killed herself over being bullied. It takes more than 3 parents to raise concern w SA district but it needs to happen.

Well there some parents out there too scared to do anything about this Bullying going on in school,I know for a fact I am not scaared to do anything about it,cause I called so many news people and wrote them e mails aout it, thats how the news wnt up there last time from me emailing them about bullying in school but they didn't ask all the kids about the bullying only a few kids..I think people need to Stand UP and Start OPENING THERE MOUTHS ABOUT ALL THIS BULLYING GOING ON IN SCHOOL.Cause as a parenet here I am so sick of getting a text message from my kids saying they are ready to flip and stuff like that. and i call the school about it and the school don't do stuff about it either, but it's fine for a kid to say there going to KILL my child in the lunchroom and that kid didn't get into trouble about it either,Look at all the kids the killed themself over bullyig, cause no one did crap about it,SOME NEED TO BE OUR CHILDREN VOICE HERE AND TAKE STAND FOR WHATS GOING ON IN ALL THE SCHOOLS NOT JUST ONE SCHOOL ALL THE SCHOOLS IN SA.

My point has been proven!! Lisen to yourself! This type of thinking is why some kids are on street corners. The kids that I was talking about are the ones that need just a little extra attention NOT SPECIAL SCHOOLS!!!! Our school district, any school district should be equiped to handle special needs. I'm not talking about the kids with cell phones, drugs, guns, I'm talking about kids with learning disabilies. Kids that need a little more than a good student that grasp what they are learning the first time they read or hear a lecture. I'm talking about the poor kids that can't comprehend. Believe me there are a lot of them in our classrooms. This is not the parents fault, this is no one fault. The kids should not suffer for your stupidity.

send your kid to mon- valley if they have a hard time learning at SA. It's for kids just like yours. Mon valley isn't just for mentally challenged!

First off Use your own name. 2nd No kid should be denied a proper education regardless of learning disabilities or not. Point of this post is parents need to step up and help stop the bullying at SA

I also think soccer is a sport that gets bullied by the stupid football people. Nothing but bullies associated with football. We need a level playing field so that soccer isn't at a disadvantage. whatever monies football gets to operate its program, soccer should also get. we need our own soccer stadium too. just for soocer.

I totally agree with you Mike. No special benefits for just one sport. Basketball should get just as much as football does too.

I agree with you too Brad. It seems that the only sport that matters is football in our boro's. it's just ridiculous! Iv been to many hockey games, basketball games, and even girls soccer games. And I feel that they're all deserved to be in the spotlight from time to time. I'm honestly getting burned out of hearing about the football team!

First things first the bullying at SA is ridiculous. My son 2 yrs. ago was getting punched and kicked by a kid at the baseball field. My son tried to walk away but the kid kept on doing it. After the third kick and punch my son got mad and defended himself. When my son came home he said to me that the police were coming. My son defended himself and got police charges against him. He had probation and community service but nothing happened to the kid that initiated the fight. The only thing that was done to the bully was poor kid im sorry this happened to you.... My son got the blunt end of the stick because someone else was bullying this kid and he figured he could turn things around on my kid. BULLYING NEEDS TO STOP PERIOD. Innocent kids are getting hurt....

SA Mom, I'm sorry for your son's troubles. I was bullied in school from 7th grade thru 12th. School was a living hell for me. I hate most of my classmates to this very day (and this was 30+ years ago!) No one did anything to help me. The Bullies had an audience (other students) and got high off of the power. Maybe it's no consolation but today I have a great life and when I sit back and read the paper, I laugh my azz off at the lives of these Big Bad Bullies.....arrested for possession of crack pipes, caught selling crack, domestic violence, fired from jobs for stealing, committing suicide, arrested for robbery to support their heroin addiction, multiple divorces, drunken slutty wives, etc. and so on...their lives SUCK and it's out there in black and white. Their day will come. I wouldn't have believed it back then but it's true. Karma's a bitcccch.

The following actions are required to ELIMINATE the problem.

1. Cutoff of government life support

2. Rigid enforcement of and compliance with
government regulation and industry standards.

3. Shutdown and demolition of the obsolete and
decadent facilities.
