My prayers go out to James Hoover family. I didnt know them .But this was senseless killing like all the rest. I pray this family gets justice for what has happened. We can only pray that the system does what best. Hope the police contained the evidence properply and all parties involed are where they need to be. Because knowing glassport pd that are not as about justice. Certain officiers dont play by the rules. They lose evidence make evidence disappear and are not always truthful about the facts. Like one said they can lie to get you to admit. But in some case they lie to get what their looking for. Even if it means no getting justice. Even if they know it wrong. every pray that James Hoover family is able to get justice

This incident has been a long time coming at the SOI. That place should have been closed down a long time ago.

Totally agree, I use to go there with friends years ago and it was bad, can't even imagine what it is like now. The more I find out how senseless this killing of a good man was, the more sick I get about our town and keep thinking about leaving sooner than later. But this post is not about me, my prayers go out to that young man's family.

maybe someone from the bar they were at before (the alleged shooter) should have called the police and said that that "soon to be murderer" was waving a gun inside that bar(illegal im sure).......im SURE that more than ONE person saw that gun being waived around.........y'all spend a lot of time texting, why the F*** not make a call to the police and report this idiot.....!!!!!

Sounds like you knew about Sainiak waving a gun inside the previous bar. If you knew this why didn't YOU call the police? You could of saved that man's life. That's a big problem in this town everyone sees things but they don't want to get involved or report problems then when something happens they say someone "should have called the police"! Just "ONE" phone call from someone at the previous bar could have stopped this senseless murder.

I believe that "tacit blue" was referring to reports that the shooter had waved the gun inside of the SOI before then going outside and discharging it. We're all in agreement that someone inside the SOI should have called 911 immediately.
Aren't the older Italians in Glassport ashamed enough of what goes on in and around the SOI yet? When will they do something about it?

Sorry everyone is talking that he was in the Double L showing this gun. I still agree shut the SOI down for after hours. I hear that Tony Capangna can only have the SOI survive from the money from the 1-3 am crowd.

What does that matter whether the gun was handed to him on the inside or outside? The facts are the death of James Hoover was caused by Sainiak who was in the possession of a gun at the SOI.

The problem with glassport is that there are so many people who don't take care of their kids, and teach them nothing and let them fend for themselves. These kids are growing up to be irresponsible trouble making adults. The shooting at the SOI was not about the SOI. It was about people who don't care or contribute anything but negative things to the world......and happen to dwell in glassport. Go to any bar in glassport this weekend. If you could take a honest poll of how many people there have a job.... Or how many get food stamps or welfare.... Or how many get an SSI check for a physical or mental disabliity....you would see that most of these people are using goverment money not to take care of their kids, but to drink. If you have no job, you should not be at the bar, if you're not contributing to the economy then you are a burden to it. It has come to where kids who were raised by drug addicts and drunks ended up drop outs and have nothing else to do for money except sell drugs or steal. They pollute the bars and they have taken over the town. The poison has spread quickly in glassport, it is moving its way to port vue, and eventually it will infect liberty and lincoln.

To Finished from Mckeesport---That whole comment is funny coming from a Mckeesport person. These people causing problems aren't even from Glassport. I was born and raised here--it's the transplants that cause the problems. I work--always have -as my parents whole were born and raised here. This is a horrific problem --everywhere, senseless crime. Being from Mckeesport, you should understand that more than anyone from Glassport!
My prayers go out to this family. I can't imagine their pain.

so you are a Mckeesport person too then, commenting on Glassport. way too funny. a "McKeesport" person critical of another "McKeesport" persons comments on "Glassport". you really don't have a clue to how the internet works, or ip addresses, do you?

Glassport has its share of crooks, thieves, and troublemakers. born and raised right in the town. read the newspaper and look at some of the names. yeah there are transplants in there too. so what? they're all criminals. the town is loaded with them and future troublemakers too. hold onto your hat and lock your door cause there is a whole heap of trouble blowing in the wind.

I just happened upon this site...I have a few comments...The first A thank you for all the prayers for our family (we are still in need of them)...Losing my Jimmy is something that I can't put into words, but the way I lost him is another thing...CRUEL!!!SENSELESS!!!UN MERCIFUL!!!UNNECESSARY!!!I can go on, but why? as for the comments about the shooter..I agree if someone sees someone showing a gun(especially when he is known as he was) maybe a phone call to the police would have saved my son's life,,Unfortunately people prefer to turn their heads ,,Glassport is your town DON"T GIVE IT TO THE LIKES OF SANIAK!!!It may be your son or brother or father NEXT time..I have grandchildren who were robbed no only of their father (and he was a WONDERFUL FATHER), but of their youthful!!!And if were there (in the SOI)I hope you didn't turn your back when it came to talking to the police & If you did you have to look in the mirror everyday My son was a hard working . kind, caring person, He worked 15 years at Tech Met in Glassport..He graduated from SA..He went to their football games with a car load of kids..He was what you guys were commenting about (the kind of parent that makes a difference) As for the SOI!!!Well save that for another time,,As for the "shooter" maybe if the our judical system would have taken a good look at him,,he would have been taken care properly AND JIMMY would be alive..Tonight will be 25 weeks, but still hurts like it just happened,,Once again Thank you all for your prayers And thank you to everyone that spoke to the police ...as for you all I pray for you ...unfortunately you never know !!!
