Just adding in an educative example: NARK is a slang use of the Abbreviation NARC, which stands for Narcotics Informer in the example above. It is Generically used to point to an individual who is a police informant, not necessarily pertaining to narcotics.

You can bet, that if a person is handcuffed and taken to jail, and spends less than 24 hours before arraignment, that person has made a deal of some sort.

You could also bet the farm, that after multiple charges, on multiple dates, the person keeps getting released beforethe ink dries, they are squealing like a pig.

That just proves he is NOT a nark never gets out until his sentence is over. Ryan on the other hand is already out.
