What the hell is all over Co-eds property as you come off the over pass? There is trash everywhere! Even in front of the building on Rt. 61. It is disgraceful. I am calling city hall on Monday to complain. Tech should be made to keep their grounds clean.

and by cleaning out, we mean throwing all the trash on the side of the hill and hoping it lands in the bed of a coal truck as it drives by.

They are cleaning it out to demolish. It's called a work-in-progress. Calm down and get off your high horse, and be patient while they haul it away. Call Tech to let them know they are not working at the swift speed that you desire, or maybe you should volunteer your time it can be finished much quicker! Either way, ask questions before jumping to conclusions that Tech isn't taking care of their land.

You call it "cleaning out", I call it tearing it down. They STILL have a responsibility to keep the area clean and not have TRASH all over the grounds. It is disgusting and unsightly.

Trash is trash. If it were my house in Montgomery, the city would be all over me telling me I have to clean it up. I bet if they got a warning from the health department for scattered trash, they would think twice. I think the president of WVU should be required to come here and pick up trash for their fine!

Work-in-progress. So that's what all the trash is called? A better word would be Tear-Down-Buildings.

Hear that WVU is having the building torn down. Betcha that kind of trash would not be thrown all around Morgantown if WVU was tearing down a building there.

Volunteer your time? Cripes!! That's WVU's job!

Would be nice if WVU would build a building instead of tearing down a building.

I am calling Tech tomorrow. WVU campus doesn't look that bad after a couch burning in mo-Town and if they did Morgantown city officials would be all over it. I took pictures today. Maybe WOWK would be interested.

Betcha, if you are lucky enough to get through the switchboard, be prepared to be transferred to MULTIPLE offices before you get hold of a live agent who might, most likely might not, be able to give you accurate information. Would be easier and faster to pick up and dispose of the trash yourself.

Good luck!!

"Welcome to Tech. So Glad that you are here."

WVU, how nice, is tearing down one of our buildings. Fret not. There soon will be a nice green space for our students in the very spot that now is occupied by the trash.

One less building; one less problem.

Yep WVU is cleaning out Coed. WVU continues cleaning out the campus. How indebted Tech should be to WVU for the fine state of affairs on the campus? Have no fear? Rest assured that WVU is restoring the Tech campus that has deteriorated for close to two decades under WVU control.

No GOLDEN BEAR football for homecoming. All the while the WVU coach is being paid millions and millions and millions and millions and millions of dollars just to coach the MOUNTAINEER football team.

No denying WVU has been successful with the Morgantown campus but has by no means been successful with the Montgomery campus.

It is my opinion they, WVU, are starting to literally sweep Tech under the rug. When buildings start to come down for a GREEN space, the handwriting is on the wall. As we empty our dust pans, let us remember who is to blame for the "destruction" of our campus. Hats off WVU. You got what you wanted.

If all you guys have to bitch about a little demolition then your lives are pretty good. I seriously doubt any of you go to Tech or work there which means that its not affecting your daily life in the least bit. They're tearing it down to create a grassy area for students to play frisbee, football, etc which is much needed on the campus. So if you don't like the trash (which is only going to be there for a little while) then don't look at it!

There's a great deal more to bitch about on that campus than the demolition of a building. And WVU and its loyalist do mot want that aspect of the truth publicly discussed.

Sadly, the demolition of this dormitory strongly represents the failures of the administrative leadership on/for the Montgomery campus under WVU for the last soon to be two decades.

The pretentious deguise of their creating a green space for our students is absolutely pathetic. If that building, the newest building on the campus, had been properly maintained during the WVU period, we would not be having this conversation today.

In fact, that building had the known potential of being renovated vs. razed.

Amongst many others, the above opinion is held by many, many Tech alumni. The public is waiting for replacement of the dorm.

Disguise, not deguise.

Tech already has a green space, practically unused, where the old physical education athletic building once stood. The old PE athletic building was replaced by the present Baisi Athletic Center.

Ironically, Coed, the razed building, became "under construction" years AFTER the construction of the Baisi building.
