Can you believe that this guy got as little as 5 years for all this?Of course could he be tried later for complicity to murder or for aiding a murder?

You can bet she wont win the election again, she has screwed the people of Barren County enough.I certainly hope if she runs for any office again and comes to me to vote for her, hopefully she will be on my porch at the time,so I can tell her in my own words why she could not have my vote ,not even to work at the Dog Pound! The drugs and murders in our town has been on the up since she has been in office.WHY, because they know she wont do anything!

If you guys have such a problem with her why don't you go to her face or call her at her office or at her home and tell her what you tell everyone else. She is not a bad person and also if stupid people were right in the head and not killing other people and stupid people dealing and doing drugs they would't have to worry about her having to give them any time. PLus all the judging of what time people get is not all up to her either.

Many have tried to speak with KD over certain cases in Barren and Metcalfe Counties. Tried calling her office, left messages asking for her to return calls, called her home, no one would answer. So do not be telling us that we don't know KD or we don't know how she does her business of prosecuting. We see how she prosecutes in the court reports the newspaper and media puts out. She has gotten all of these bad comments on her own account of not doing her job properly in our opinions.

You are right, if people would not go around doing the things they do to get in trouble she wouldn't have to have a job at all. But, when you are in the position of being the prosecuting attorney, you are expected to be tough and not let perps off for anything. No deals, just do what we elected you to do or get out of the business. I'd be willing to speak for about 99.9% of Barren and Metcalfe Countians saying that we will not re elect this woman. Metcalfe may have saved her last election, but she has screwed over a lot of Metcalfe's residents by not pushing for the proper sentencing and being too soft and pleaing out cases the way she always does.

My money is on her not being able to get any votes from Metcalfe again. They will not carry her in this next election the way they did in the past. She has cut off her own nose to spite her face.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I respect that but I am not here to argue with people I do not even know about this ether.

No one is asking you to argue. We just want you to realize that you are looking at this situation on a personal basis because you are related to her. If you were not related, you may not be so apt to jump to her defense.

Let's say your spouse was shot in the back and left to die, then the perps carried his body to a nearby lake, dumped him in while he was still alive. He dies finally from drowning, the gunshot wounds were only the beginning of his death, the drowning did him in. You wait anxiously for the perps to be caught and imprisoned. One is allowed to go nearly free, only has to do probation and drug counseling. The other is placed in prison but for not all that long. But yet, these two took a life. That life can never return. But, the killer will return to his way of living in only a short number of years spent incarcerated. One incarcerated a short amount of time, the other going on with his daily activities, reporting to his parole officer as directed. No one really pays for the life they took, do they?

Before anyone gets on here thinking that I may be a family member of the decedent, I am not. I am just another resident of Barren County, Kentucky who has had enough of murders going on in this county, and the prosecuting attorney not doing everything within her bounds to place the perps in prison for life or even getting the death sentence on the perps when they need exactly that, life sentencing or death penalty.

I particularly liked the way the Commonwealth's Atty's office decided not to re-try Steve Wilson on child molestation charges based on "we've lost the last three rape cases, and even had DNA on one of them." So now that they recognize that they aren't winning cases, they just aren't gonna try them anymore??? BTW - That was straight from WBKO news story.

Looking back at the cases she has prosecuted, she may be a better defense attorney than a prosecuting attorney.

PART ONE The following is my impression of the trial and my opinions. Vaughn and Weaver are Osborn’s lawyers. Mark Henderson, Gary Dean, Pat Williams, Ricky Shelton, Clay Bridges, Rudy Eller, Brian Wilson and two experts from the G.B.I. have testified. Their testimony shows that Eddie Osborn was stalking Dean and shot up his house with a forty caliber semi-automatic pistol.(Nothing much has been said about Jess Gibson .) Osborn then took the gun to Eller and told him that if anyone asks to tell them he had had it in his (Eller’s) possession for a couple of months. Osborn admitted to Eller that he (Osborn) had shot up the house but had not planned to , it just happened. Mark Henderson was sent to investigate the 911 call that night and was told by the people on the scene( Scotty Fain, Martha and Gary Hicks etc.) that it was Osborn that did it because of the trouble that had been brewing between the Osborn and Dean. Henderson collected six shell casings and reports from the witnesses. He called Osborn and told him he was coming to check on Michelle because Martha Hicks had expressed concern over her safety. Osborn claimed that he had been sleeping. When Henderson told Osborn that the people at the scene was saying that he (Osborn) had done it his reply was that of course they would try to blame him for it. He told Henderson to make a report and turn it in to Robert Kern the next day. Henderson did not check to see if Osborn’s hood was warm or look in his vehicles. When Kern received the report he called the G.B.I. and told them he had a sticky situation on his hands and asked for their advice. They advised him to get the Sheriff to call them with an official request to get them involved This was done. Kern told the G.B.I. what was up and told them that Osborn had three forty caliber pistols one of which had a 357 interchangeable barrel. Osborn was very angry at Kern for telling the G.B.I this. When asked about this gun Osborn told the G.B.I. that the sheriff had the gun and had had it for some time. When asked about the 40 caliber barrel he said at first that he was not sure where it was but would try to find it. Then the G.B.I. agent Clay Bridges asked Osborn if he wanted them to go get the gun from Eller or if he wanted to go get it himself and give it to them. This seemed very strange to me because at this point the agent had to have red flags flying about this gun. Why would he let Osborn go get this evidence that has turned out to be so critical? If Osborn had taken this opportunity to have thrown the gun in the lake we would not be having a trial. People would have known why it was missing but no one could have proven anything. CONTINUED

CONTINUED PART TWO Osborn turned the weapon over to the G.B.I.(but not the 40 caliber barrel) they tested it and found it to be the weapon used in the shooting. When confronted with these facts Eller broke and told them the real story and reluctantly handed over the 40 caliber barrel. This is what Eller testified to in court. The expert witnesses testified to their findings. The defense tried to make Eller look like a liar because in his recent bankruptcy there were some ( to me ) minor inaccuracies in the pile of paperwork he had signed but not read. There has also been a lot of to-do about some minor differences in the original report and the copies that the court has. A couple of words and a supplement. The words couldn’t and shouldn’t are interchanged and the supplement was not given to the court. Nothing in the supplement seems to have been exculpatory. I don’t think they plan to call Michelle Osborn or Ricky Mathis to testify. I am not sure of the reasoning for Michelle but Ricky Mathis would open a can of worms I am sure the prosecution doesn’t want opened like why the incident between Mathis and Osborn was never prosecuted. There has been a lot of tedious questions by the defense but up to this point but they have neither rhyme nor reason. I think George Weaver likes to hear himself talk and @$550 an hour why would he want a short trial
