Yes ladies and gentlemen. We have public schools with padded rooms for the special needs kids. I think padded rooms are for the mental patients are in a asylum. Due to some crazy policies we have mental patients in public school that have to be restrained by specially trained personnel. They have restraint chairs like you see on t.v. jail shows that tie kids to keep them from harming themselves or others. Due to other bad policies we have kids that go to regular classes disrupting the education of children that are not special needs to make some parent feel like their kids is normal.
The answer to solving the problem is to use the talents and expertise of qualified special needs teachers to teach and train these kids in their own classrooms instead of sending them out to regular class. It is a shame that it has come to making our schools public mental institutions and play on the heart strings of people's emotions that ignore the reality that we are not all equal that the ones that need the extra help should not be allowed to disrupt the ones that don't. Now demonize me for being mean. I can tell you I am being truthful. Go to a reading class were kids are trying to learn to read only to spend it watching special needs kids running around the room being chased by a teachers aid.

these bad policies are actually designed to turn the public schools into a prison/military type enviroment. Kinda like Hitler's youth schools. B4 ppl think I'm just an obama basher, ur very wrong. These designs have been in the making long before him.

Sort of like the Planned Parenthood clinic located in a middle school in California that gives your little girls the morning after pill and abortion info and they never have to tell you, the parents. one detail of what they do with your child? Nancy Pelosi and Obama have held strong for Planned Parenthood to be funded by tax money so if you voted for Obama you must agree with Planned Parenthood's parental decisions for your children. Pelosi claimed that millions of women would die if Planned Parenthood didn't get tax payer funds because they wouldn't get mammograms even though Planned Parenthood doesn't perform mammograms and never have.

The democrats turned socialist/progressives have indeed been working on putting these things into place for years. Obama, the messiah, is here to put them in place at warp speed because he can do it by cashing in on the spell these morons are under when it comes to Obama and his popularity. You people have followed him to the slaughter house and kissed his feet as he leads you and your family there...and NOW you want to start questioning his Cloward and Pivan plan? Too late America...way too late!

Just go and see the padded rooms for yourself. Some schools use them as snack rooms. I don't know what will happen if the state finds out that the padded room is not used for the mental kids. Why would a public school allow kids that are mentally challenged enough to have to be put in one. Ladies and gentlemen our kids are in danger due to the fact that there is a need for padded jail cells in public schools. Who will be responsible when a mental kid attacks another kid. This is serious. Our public schools should not be mental institutions. There are other places for kids that need that kind of help.

Since I have found out that public schools have padded cells for kids. My question is who makes the decision to put a kid in there. Were in the school handbook gives you the criteria for your kid to be locked away. Our schools want to pretend they don't exist but they do. What's next straight jackets. Will the public schools start taking kids that need to be in straight jackets. I mean they do have the restraint chairs. When does the public school look at a kid and say no we can't take this child do to the lack of ability to learn and control himself.

Parent,is this something that you saw on TV or is it in the school your child attends? The middle of the school year is not a good time to start talking about things that you should have known about the first week of school.Apparently you don't put a lot of time in with your child or engage in meaningful conversation or you would have already discussed this issue with the school staff.

first of all, its against the law to NOT accept a special needs child into the public school district where that child lives. Secondly, the law also states that a public school MUST accomodate special needs children of any kind. Third, I have been in the special needs end of education for a long time and I have yet to see a 'padded room for mental kids'. Lets straighten this out. Which school exactly are you speaking of? Also, you should know- the majority of public schools have at least 3 different 'special ed rooms'. One is for high functioning special needs kids. Most of these children WILL take some classes outside of the special ed room, because they can learn the material. The second room is for special needs children who have more serious needs. Some of these kids have classes outside the special ed room, and some don't. The third type of special ed room is called an EBD classroom. This classroom serves the needs for children with emotional and/or behavioral disorders. So, what school and which room is this so-called 'padded cell'?? Another thing to consider, there are several types of special needs that include a sensitivity to senses- ie, they become overloaded by an overstimulation of sights, sounds, smells, physical proximities of others, etc. Often these children/teens require a quiet room with little stimulus to chill out in after becoming overloaded. Could this 'padded cell' in fact just be a sensory free zone for a child with autism?? Why don't you take these concerns up with the school board instead of posting hearsay on topix and speaking ill of children you know nothing about??

The padded rooms are real. There is a room in each public school that is built to house out of hand kids. This is not a sensory free zone. It is a actual cell. You don't believe me. Just ask your principal in the elementary school. Each school has one. Yes it is against the law to accept special needs kids to school. What law says that special needs kids have the right to disrupt regular class for kids that are not special. Fact is a fact. Our public schools are being turned into mental institutions for people's kids that do not need to be in a regular educational class. We have qualified special needs teachers that can work one on one with kids that are challenged. I have a friend that their kid is constantly being disrupted by the special need kid that runs around the room during reading time while the aide has to restrain them. Do not deny the padded cells and restraint chairs are real in public school. We actually have school aids getting punched kicked and bitten on a daily basis's. So even get black eyes and hurt backs from children that are out of control. Facts are facts.

I have been all over several schools in every room doing maintenance work. No such rooms exist. You are lying. Or else name a specific school and exactly where that room is.

Funny how nobody cares to participate in their kids lives enough to even bother asking if the Planned Parenthood clinic located in the middle school is true or not. By the way, it is true and they are allowed by law to give your little girls the morning after pill and at the same time the middle school can by law expel your little girls if they give an aspirin or a Midol tablet to a schoolmate.
I guess you Obamorons don't consider the morning after pills being secretly distributed to your children a big deal. You did support and vote for Obama, right? Then don't cry and moan and groan when you find out your 15 year old had several abortions via info given to your little girls by the Planned Parenthood clinic at your local middle school. And the really sad part about all of this? You dumb asses fund the crap with your Obama tax dollars. You pay for it. Priceless morons, priceless!!

Now let's get back to the more important issue of what material the walls and floors and chairs at your kids schools consist of!

again, what school and what special education room has a so called padded cell?? Secondly, look up federal regulation for special needs students in public schools. I can promise you that it is ILLEGAL for a public school to refuse education to a child due to special needs. It is also illegal to NOT have a child in school regardless of special needs. Parents go to jail for that. Every child over the age of 6 must attend school, period. That can be public, private, or homeschool, but they MUST attend. It is a FACT that its illegal for a school district to refuse a child education based on special needs and it is a FACT that a childs school district MUST accomodate a childs special needs. To refuse such would be in violation of the educational laws of this state, and federally as well, and would undoubtedly result in a hefty lawsuit. Now, unless you can provide the name of said school, I will presume you are full of shi*t.

There was a report on TV about a padded room in a school in Pennsylvania. I suppose this is where the idea came from that all schools have one. They don't. Any by law all children may attend public schools.

Of course you can give us a non political link to the site that states what medications a school official can administer to a child without the knowledge or consent of the parent. How is Planned Parenthood involved in our local schools?Or should we just write you off as another right wing nut.
