you draw around 700 per month which does not pay your bills .and its true that each med the dr gives you causes another illness which keeps you going to the dr .its caled job security .so the best thing to do to prevent disability is take natural meds and quit taking so much medicine .try hard to get yourself off all that junk and you will feel better .thats the truth .drs will trreat you just till you die and then they focus on another prey

Well said!

And the sad thing is, that a lot of times, people will try the doctors first...then when that doesn't work, they try the natural stuff....but oftentimes, the stuff the doctor gave them has destroyed their immune system (as is the case with things like chemotherapy), or compromised the body's other natural defenses, so the natural stuff won't work then...and the person concludes that natural things don't work...when in fact, it was their compromised immune system (from the doctor's drugs) that is not allowing the natural stuff to work).

Those natural medicines can be just as dangerous as prescription ones. Just Google "deaths caused by herbal medicines" & you'll see what I'm talking about. There are also stories about it on the news from time to time. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's good for you. Arsenic, cyanide, & mercury are natural, but that doesn't mean it's safe to injest them. And then there are items that can't be mixed together, & other things that can aggravate health conditons you already have, which is what makes them so dangerous.

I just think people need to be really, really careful before they start trying all this herbal stuff. The stores that sell all those "natural" remedies are out to make a quick buck too (just like the doctors & drug companies) so you can't always trust them. I've been in some around here & they've tried to sell me different kinds of vitamins & "supplements" for ridiculous prices. I remember once they tried to sell me 4 different bottles of crap that totaled around $300, & I caught on to their little scheme pretty quickly & said no thanks.

Just make damned sure you know what you're doing before you start trying all that stuff.

Too bad the republicans didn't do anything to stop it in the last 8 years. Lol.
Anyway, I've always heard the best way to get a check is to say you have fibromyalgia, the new "illness" of the day. People used to go with "nerve problems", but fibromyalgia is the new catch phrase & the "symptoms" of it are even more vague than any mental illness known to man, so it works much better than just saying you're depressed. The fact that the medical community doesn't have their shit together well enough to classify fibromyalgia as a disease or a disorder means that the people at the Social Security Administration & the courts can't really question whether you're really sick or not. They just have to take your doctor's word for it. All you need to do is go to a doctor and complain of fatigue, generalized pain and and overall crappy feeling. If this does not work just keep whining until they diagnose you. Make sure you get an unethical doctor (and there's no shortage of those) who'll tell you & the courts whatever they want to hear. Then you go see Dale Burchett or Flora Templeton Stuart & say "doing stuff makes me tired, give me some money and/or drugs".
Then just wait a few months, & voila! Your crazy check will be deposited directly into your checking account or delivered right to your door, which ever one is the most convenient for you.
One of the best things about fibromyalgia is that it can score you some intensely powerful prescription drugs. If you are into, or will settle for, benzodiazepines or low-grade painkillers, even mentioning fibromyalgia can get them for you. If you want the good shit, all you need is a formal diagnosis.
Do not be afraid to go doctor shopping until you get the drugs you so desperately want, er, I mean need - everyone else with a fibromyalgia diagnosis is doing the same, only they're too delusional to realize it.
So if you can live the lifestyle you want to live with an income of approximately $600 a month, some food stamps, & some xanax & lorcet, then just follow the simple directions above.
Glad I could be of assistance.
I have recently been seeing some television commercial for a prescription drug that ostensibly is designed to treat fibromyalgia. What I found unusual about the commercial is that the announcer had to reassure the viewer that fibromyalgia is indeed a real disease.

We never hear the herpes drug manufacturer having to make the same assertion.

Fibromyalgia may in fact be a true condition. However, I suspect that if it does exist that it is not near as prevalent as people would believe.

I have found there is another condition similar to fibromyalgia, which I may have. It is brought about by growing old, failing to exercise, and having a diet that would put a carnival worker to shame. Naturally, I don't want to offend any carnival workers who may read this, but I am assuming some of them dine frequently on the tasty but greasy cuisine that is available at county fairs.

So overall I agree with Madame Celeste.

if you notice though every new medicine that comes out gives all thes side effects at the end of the commercial and notice that lawyers are getting on television and thus saying;; if you or a loved one had such and such problems or death from the use of this drug you may be intitled to a large sum of money .think about it .once the fda has gotten their money from the prescribers and the patients .hell a law suit doesnt break them .id do herbals any damn day of the week

Dear Karen,
You do need to see a good counselor. I know of one. Her name is Nancy Barrett. She is a nurse practitioner that specializes in mental health. She can get you on the right meds to help with your mental illness and talk to you as a therapist. Please drop the liquor, it only makes your problems worse. Also go to see Dale Burchett's office to get your disability claim started. Nancy's office # is six two nine - two one two zero.

Just curious, are you wearing a stethoscope right now? If so, just 1? or maybe 2, um 3?

Drugs (anti-depressants) are not the answer. The doctors will keep you doped up, and living in a stupor is not going to solve your problems, but will likely make them worse. These so-called counselors will not help much, either- as they will readily admit that they don't offer a "cure", but rather that they just help you to understand why you feel as you do- and you likely already know the answer to that.

We've all been through similar things. We've all had a mix of good and bad in our lives. People react to things differently. It's time that you stopped obsessing over the past, and just started getting on with your life and living it and making it better.

A crazy check will not solve your problems either, but will likely make them worse, because it will give you the opportunity to just sit around and do nothing...or to spend your life going to doctors, in which case you will just be dwelling on your problems full-time.

Get out and live your life and do what you have to do. You'll find that you have a lot less time to obsess over emotions and the past when you are living in the present and not spending your days dwelling on the bad stuff.

It sounds like your whole family has problems- and your behavior is likely just a learned behavior from having been around them. For your kid's sake, end the cycle of dysfunction- yes, you can do it....just DO IT!

Is this thread for real. How do I get a free check? You don't you get up you go to work and you earn a living just like you are supposed to. DOn't apply for disability cause you get depressed or you have some Doctor telling you have some desease that they can't even prove really exists. You take drugs and need a free check. NO stop doing drugs get off your lazy ass and be a real person. People make me sick. Can you provide for yourself? I seen people in wheelchairs that worked circles around some people. There is no reason someone can notprovide for themself there is only excuses.

I'm depressed because I have to go to work and I really want to stay home and watch Jerry Springer and eat Doritos, so I'm sure I can get a check for my "illness". I seem to be gaining weight for some unknown reason too so I guess I have two diseases now. Woe is me. My job giving guidance to jr high students is just too stressful oh look another disease! Three diseases how could I possibly work? Oh no now I got carpel tunnel syndrome from typing on here!

That's not the OBAMA way dumbass! These people have been ripping off the system for decades. This is generations of abuse. I've seen it first hand where I grew up. White trash hillbillies from WV would take all their kids to the welfare office to get them signed up for disability checks cuz they were illiterate and backwoods, not disabled. My firsthand knowledge of this occurred in your beloved Reagan years. Remember THAT idiot? You moron!
