Since when does a club like the Glasgow VFW, allow a draft dodger and non veteran like Bowles to dictate who can come out, join, and who can throw a party out there. Mr. Bowles has not right or authority to dictate anything to us veterans. I think it's high time us Veterans clean house out there and take our club back. He needs to be removed from that club and other person who tries to keep us veterans out. Remove Bowles or we will.

I've been out there and its William (Billy) Bowles. The guy has never been in any armed service. I agree with the original poster. What right does he have to tell veterans or anybody that has been in the military that that can't come? I agree we need to kick him out of the club. He doesn't belong there. He's not a veteran.

If this is happening, then why isn't something done? I can't believe that a bunch of "veterans" are just gonna sit back and let this type of BS happen....come on...

Billy Bowles does not call the shots ever. He is not a member and has no say so in veteran affairs or who can come out there. We can see to it that you will be the first we remove. He is not keeping any veteran from that club. Period. Am I clear. You can go to jail with him. He is running an illegal karaoke show with stolen music and he has been turned in.

I have been in both Korea and Vietnam and have seen more combat time that you Bill. Retired 22 years in the army. No Non Veteran is going to dictate who can come out there. Don't think for a moment if he falls he want sue your butt. He's already sued for car accidents and we don't need that person in that club. There are other peoples who can run a better legal show.

You want 'Resident Veteran' to "act like a man". Why don't YOU act like a man? There is no need for your vulgar language on here. A real man, or woman, for that matter, has no need to talk like that. People that cuss like that are showing their ignorance. jmo
Whenever I want to read your opinion, I'll tell you what to write you drooling moron. This doesn't concern you, so butt out.

Number one I don't drink. But from the sound of your messages earlier you were pretty well drunk yourself. You said in your message it's a private club. Then why is it opened to the public on Friday nights. It should remain private for Veterans and Veteran families. He's not a Veteran and therefore can't tell us Veterans that we can't come out there.

You're entitled to your opinion of Billy. However, there's no reason to slander the guy. Billy is within his rights to throw your a** out for getting too drunk and acting a fool. The VFW isn't your trailer. You can't just go rambling around being sloppy and obnoxious as your drunk salty a** pleases. Get your life together before you worry about Billy.
No one has slandered anyone. The evidence, proof and truth are out there and therefore you have nothing.

LOL-so 'Bill' is entitled to an opinion but I can't? That makes sense.

I have no ideal what ya'll talking about, but I do know the VFW is a national organization with national, state and district officers. It also has a set of by-laws that's pretty specific. As long as you're a member, bring it up thru your chain of command. Haven't been out there in years.

How does a retired military vet join the Glasgow VFW? I know just about where it is, but what does it take? Can I come out for a beer sometime? Thanks in advance.

Not if you're going to start any trouble like the rest of these losers here. If not, then just go in and talk to Billy. He's a nice guy and he'll take care of you!

..so what you're saying is that if I go in, and don't talk to Billy, I can't be served? what has Billy got to do about it?..thanks for not answering my question, but it seems as if you hijacked my question and making it seem as though I would come out there and start trouble...let me take a guess, greg, I bet you've never served a day in the military. Am I right? If not, don't guess that I would come out there just to start trouble.. some welcome you just gave me and some opinion I just got of the VFW..are there any real veterans that can answer my first question about the VFW? not some idiot promoting Billy....

Why don't you take your DD Form 214 out to the post during the day, ring the doorbell and ask these questions for yourself. I would go and see for yourself not rely on some silly sight like topix.
