I applied there. Filled out the online forms and selected the $13 / hr range as my salary range. It was listed as an option so I assumed it was available. I have 10+ years of customer service experience. I was told at the interview that I could only expect the entry level $8 an hour - and to work all night shifts. My response: I'd take that if I had entry level experience. But I have a decade plus of experience in customer service plus computer and phone experience far beyond entry level. So I left. Sitel's philosophy seems to be hire the untrained and unskilled, work them like dogs and burn them out, then toss 'em aside and hire a new batch. He'll, three people came in and quit while I waited for an interview appointment.

Since not quite and lgpt42129 have so much experince and knowledge why aren't your working where you don't have to start at entry levels at new companies. Sounds like losers and trouble makers to me!!

Guess you didn't read my post. The online form allows you to pick wage rate. I chose the top of $13 / hour as that is what my experience warrants. I didn't know that the online form was a lie and only $8 was available REGARDLESS of experience until I got to the interview. Once I found that out, that experience and skills weren't rewarded and all they wanted was unskilled drones to answer the phones, I didn't take the job. So as you can see, if you can follow along as I'm making it as simple for you as I can, I'm NOT working where I have to start at an entry level pay rate.

If you have so much knowledge why aren't you working, instead of bashing companies that are putting people to work. Sounds like you don't have much to do!!

I do have a job, thank you. Just didn't end up at Sitel. And I'm not bashing - simply stating facts. Sorry that the truth ruffles your feathers so badly.

sitel is a joke they dont want anyone with some kind of knowledge, and know what there doing!!
there loss tottaly that is why they go through soo many people, there front doors stay open with employees leaving and comming!! lol
evently they will have no one else to hire!
sad to see sitel sign on the side of roads NOW HIRING lol
i have even seen sitel signs in other states as well sounds like that is there way of doing business
you are very right. people who are good workers and have experience are discriminated against, picked on, and forced out. it seems like they want their supervisors there to be uneducated too. they lie to you about what schedule you will work. who wants to work someplace where they are dishonest to you right off the bat? certain people get away with murder. we have a group of girls at night who sit by their coach braiding each others hair while some of us regular folk have to take back to back calls. all in all, leadership is to blame for how it is there. my friend is one of their bilingual agents and they dont even give her a penny more for being their Spanish interpreter. thats not fair! people work in public defender and get abused all day and don't get any more money either. thats terrible. ass soon as my classes are done i am so out of there that it isnt even funny.

I am a retired Veteran and was told I lacked the knowlege and skills to be a supervisor there and ended up on the phones for a few months before I quit. With exception of one coach the others couldn't lead a group of kindergartners in a coloring session much less agents on the phone. Coach Steve of course has what he calls Steve's Angels who get by with God only knows what and they even call him big Daddy. Most agents can barely hold a conversation professionally always using words on the phone not common to the rest of the US like Do what now. Im glad I left when I did.

i worked there too. cannot figure out how idiots like steve, or that anthony kid, or that guy in pac sales who has a nervous tick, or that fat girl heather in pd ever got a job let alone a supervisor role. i just left one day and didnt come back. got a job at akebono making time and a half what i made at sitel. its a terrible place to work if you got half a mind. kept having this sleazy old guy hit on me and it made my skin crawl. got people there with piercings like they are african bushmen.

there are so many people and the bosses are good people but they are absolutely clueless as to how it is there at night. its a party, its an orgy, its a free for all. theres a girl in computer services that has probably given a beej to 15 different guys, one night, both of them at same time in the parking lot. and she dont deny it, she wears it like a badge

seems like if you know the right people you can get away with anything and get what you want. if you are just a regular joe that tries to do a good job its almost like they dont want you. i needed to change my schedule because of child care issues and they blew me off but a girl asked for the same damn schedule right after me and got it. thats bs.

YEa right, theres people running around the floor and people getting drunk on night shift and the coaches dont do a damn thing about it. One guy stays in start up AUX all d@mn night and isnt ever told to auto in. They need an OM on 3rd shift to straighten all the B.S out..not that the would. Its a f!cking free for all on nights!
