Besides banks, is there a pennies for cash machine in Glasgow? Not going to roll up all that I have.

Thanks in advance.

I think it charges 8.9%. Most banks will do it for free.

Most banks don't even have them anymore except for maybe one branch of a bank in town and then you usually have to have an account with them for them to change them in.

I cannot believe people will actually pay to turn in their coings! How lazy are you? Go to the bank and they give you free rollers!

Coins, not coings. Sorry.

I was wondering when someone was going to be negative. Has nothing to do with lazy. When you don't have all the 411 you may look like an a$$.This is topic and a free country, post on.

Nothing about being negative, I still call it lazy. Just roll a few a day, or week, whatever. Money is to scarce to give away like that. My opinion.

I agree. Sit down in front of the tv and roll away. How hard is that?

You don't have to roll the coins to take them to a bank. I used to waitress and my bank gave me a problem about depositing all the change I would get in my tips so my boss filled five gallon buckets with change at his bank and took them to my bank and made them count them all and give him cash. It was awesome.

True but the person who started this wanted to know where to take the coins OTHER than a bank.

Pretty sure because the OP thought they would have to roll the coins he/she was looking for other options but they don't need other options.

I was thinking someone told me that banks won't take rolled up coins anymore; they unwrap them and put them through the counter. It was because people were putting slugs and foreign coins in the rolls. Anyone know if this is correct?

I bank at E$B and they take rolled coins. I can't imagine any bank NOT taking them.

I am fairly certain that someone did tell me that some banks won't take rolled coins but it may not have been a local bank. I have relatives in other states and it may have been something I heard from one of them. It was because of dishonest people who were putting slugs and foreign coins in the rolls. I can certainly see that happening.

Well take your opinion and shove it up your a**! You are being negative! And its not YOUR money so dont worry bout it! People can give their money away throw it away whatever they choose if its theirs! You sound like the type of person that might be nasty and dont even have good hygiene. After all money is too scarce to wipe your ass on right? Just the same when u purchase toilet paper huh? And I thought the money they charged at those things went to a good cause?
