What happens when a person enters another ones home and steals from a dead woman. It was bad enough that she died in that house from a horrible fire but for a person to enter and steal jewelry. What is this world coming to.Doesn't anyone have any respect for the dead or even themselves. Just asking?

That was pretty dam low what the woman did. I don't know of too many more things someone could have done than that. That's lowdown....

First of all I didn't know whose home it was. I didn't enter the home to steal, the bottom door was open. I actually thought it was Charles Shaw's home and that he was there.I was going to ask him what had happened there and if everybody was okay. The jewelry that was found were sentiments, nothing of price value and I was going to give them back to him, thinking he had dropped them coming in and out.I wasn't in the home but maybe 5 minutes when the police arrived. I didn't know that it wasn't his home until I was arrested, then while in custody I was told whose home it was and what had happened. You shouldn't just assume that I'm guilty of anything until I'm found guilty.

My beloved aunt died in this fire and my uncle is left with no home and no wife, and you think it's okay to take more from them? There was no way you were there for five minutes, I was in the house today after her funeral to say my goodbyes to the home and the memories. This house was my grandparents home for 40 years prior to my aunt and uncle living there and you know as well as I do no Charles Shaw has ever lived there. The house was taped off, which means stay out! To get upstairs to where the jewelry was you would have had to climb over everything that was burned, and that took some effort on your part. It wasn't just laying around like it had been dropped. Just do my family a favor and let us mourn and don't worry you won't be able to do this to anyone else. Enjoy your freedom now, it won't last much longer.

<quoted text>I am so sorry for everything that has happened to your family. Do you know how this POS was caught? Usually the police around here are with their girlfriends or at BK. I can't believe they just drove by, did someone turn her nasty azz in?
I know how she was caught. She walked up Bryan St. from Columbia Ave. and it was said she stood out front for a minute before going around to the basement door. Watchful neighbors knew the Firkins and they saw her going in and called the law. They were there VERY quick, about 4 cars and a sheriff's vehicle. So, just goes to show you, neighbors DO pay attention to things and report it and with all their bad rap, the cops ARE fast and available when needed.

<quoted text>Good for the neighbors, we all need to be more vigilant and watch out for our each other. The meth and pill epidemic has gotten so bad here, that people who use, are willing to do anything to get their hands on money or items to trade. The sad thing is, she probably would have gotten pennies for any gold she stole. I think that her bail should have been set higher. What I still find ironic is she can afford bail (or friends or family), but resorts to stealing for some reason.
That is not what happened. Witnesses also stated that I had two ment with me and I was by myself. Yes I did go in there but it wasn't to steal anything, I don't have to explain myself to you or anyone but the judge and jury. Yes I will get whats coming to me: If I had known that it wasn't the house I thought it was and what had happened. I WOULD HAVE NEVER WENT IN THERE. I AM SORRY TO THE FAMILY,THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH ALOT THEY DIDN'T NEED THIS ADDED TO THEIR PLATE. I WASN'T STEALING ANYTHING OR TRYING TO TAKE ANYTHING. I'M GLAD THAT EVERYONE KEEPS UP WITH MY LIFE AND WHAT I DO...I MEAN U SEEM LIKE U KNOW MORE ABOUT ME THEN I KNOW MYSELF. EVERYONE HAS THEIR OPINIONS BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE TRUE. YOURE RIGHT YOU DON'T KNOW ME SO YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. SO TALK ALL YOU WANT, I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. NOW THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN IN THERE AND ACTUALLY WERE STEALING I THINK THEY SHOULD GET PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST,BUT AGAIN THATS JUST AN OPINION. HAPPY TO KNOW I'M FAMOUS IN A SMALL TOWN.

I know I have pissed off alot of people......and again.....I am sorry. I really am,I did think Charles lived there. I would have never even went up there if I had even for one second thought that he wasn't there. All I can say is I'm sorry, yes I was in there but it wasn't to steal...it wasn't to take from anyone. Yes I've done alot of things, but this I didn't do. I know how bad it looks but I didn't do it. I am so sorry, sorrier then you'll ever know.

Do you really think that I'm worried about Barren County, and what Glasgow people talk about?I don't even care if I get time. What I want is for the family to know that I am sorry, that it was a mistake and I wasn't trying to take from them....

Steffy, you ain't fooling anyone with your heart-tugging bullsh!+ story! I DO KNOW what happened up there. The neighbors DID call in on your trashy a$$ and got you caught while you were in the middle of your burglary! And there WAS one sheriff vehicle there, I SAW IT!!! You can try to fool yourself, but NOT ONE PERSON believes a word out of your mouth (or keyboard)! Then you're dumb enough to exit the house with that jewelry in your posession! STOOO-PID <un+!!
