How many lives has the urgent clinic ruined by handing out pills to people who don't need them?

just so u are informed, it's not the clinics fault, if they didn't give them to people, then they would still get them off the street from someone else.

How does spelling "discrimination" "descrimination" make it any shorter? What about using "their" when it should be "they're", or "rather" instead of "whether"? Spelling "medicine" "medecine"? If I learned anything in my college math classes, all those words are the same length. If you graduated nursing school with no better grip on the English language than that, I am scared. Not being able to spell I can understand, anyone could have that problem. However, educated people have enough sense to look up words they don't know how to spell. I find it hard to believe you made it through nursing school unless you are a minority.

When you are sick, they try their best to help you. I always go to Dr. Campbell, but, last weekend his office was closed. I had three choices, the E.R., which I did not want to use as a doctor's office, ICC, which I did not have a lot of faith in, or Urgent Care. I chose Urgent Care, I did not have to wait, I called ahead of time and told them what was going on, that I thought maybe I had a bad case of strep throat and felt too weak to sit and wait very long in their waiting area. As soon as I arrived and told them who I was, they took me back, got me in a room, it was only a few minutes until a nurse practitioner came in to see me, she had them to give me an injection of Rocephin, and an injection of Kenalog, and gave me an rx for an antibiotic. I was very pleased with their work, I will go back if my regular doctor is not available to see me as in this case, on a weekend. It seems like a good place when you need immediate medical care. As for pain pills, I would say that ever place gets hit up with those types of patients. I would think they would get to where they could see through the act and give them placebos or give them something very mild that they would not want, then those type patients would not want to come back.

Now what does being a minority have to do with being able to spell correctly?

I'll have to say, I agree with everyone else....If you're going to be a nurse and take care of people, at least take a spelling class to learn how to spell...I'm sure it would make your patients feel a little better....LOL

No, it doesn't. However, it does make you look like an uneducated idiot. Especially when you continue to post and not clean up the mess.

There are people who are in pain,I am sure that the personnel can identify the ones that are not.It does make me mad when you go to a Dr., sick and you know that there are people there, who are to be seen before you, that are not sick.I have insurance, but I also have a co-pay.How do people afford it?
