I am curious. Which rule did you break? Usually the peopl ethat go waaaah about the Trader are people who tried to cheat or are too cheap to pay $10 to run an ad all week. I had a truck, I paid ten bucks, and chris, joe, and betty ran my item all day and in the afternoon and someone found the info on the hoss web page and then i sold it in less than Three days.

same people who whine about trying to cheat on the trader are collecting government checks at our expense.

keep up the good work HOSS. i think it is awesome that you asked us for input.

Betty Bett is still on 99.1 she aint going no where. I tell you if you all that seem to know so much would actually listen, you would love it! That station is really involved in the community. They know your name. Unlike these big radio stations they are to big to even remember your face little lone your name.

back in the early 90,s 106.7 had a friday night dedication night where you could call in live on the air and dedicate a song to your special someone.i think the program lasted for 2-3 hrs i always enjoyed listening to some of the dedications that where called in.something like that would be neat to hear again.
I think this would be a great idea..

I started listening to 99.1 aroung 1998. I listened every morning and whenever in the car. I stopped listening 2 months ago. My complaints are that they don't give good local news. They are constantly complaining about trader calls and telling the rules over and over. It was getting old. I also miss sentimental Sundays. I would like to hear more old country music.

I agree, they were always making fun of their callers and complaining about the trader calls they were degrading their own audience, I tuned them out about 6 mo. ago. Play anything... its better than what you say about people(customers) on the air.

i have Wanted to be a dee jay every since wovo-wcds days ,when i was a kid. aNd have thought of things i would like to hear 1. a talk show where every day something else is talked about like random acts of kindness that you did are were on the receiving end of by strangers , rememebering days of old for example how our grandparents remember glasgow {stores, fiends. neighbors ,medical care ] following up on stories of interest no matter how small that are interesting something like paul harveys the rest of the story lot of times , I hear or read about something and you wonder whatever happened to,the rest of the story whereas the papers once they report something they don't usaully follow up on it especially if it is small article , get the listerners more involved , every one dreams of singing on the radio have talent spots on air ,where you call in and sing and get voted on give the public a half hour spot to give our opions on whats going on in our town and how it affects us different types of music would be great also i like lil abner old radio shows like that. remind me of going to my grandparents and hearing them talk about that days show

It is not really our intention to copy the programming of another network, but we agree, those types of things are entertaining. We wish to keep "THE HOSS" a local station, and resist the temptation to "sell out" to programming piped in from other parts of the US.
In other words....You don't want to pay for it.

I also listened when Connie and Jesse had it. I stayed for awhile after, I even paid 3 different times for trader ads. I never got any calls from the paid items, Not one call.
I stopped listening for 2 reasons.
1. I got very upset when I paid for an item and Betty (always her) would mess my ad. up (it was for a service) and she'd let other people put things on simliar to my item for free. I even called my service in ( she didn't know it was me,I gave a cell #,) just to see what she'd say or do. She allowed it to go tru with out even a warning. I don't have a problem paying the 11.00 at all, but I want to get what I am suppost to get for the money.
2. The bitching and moaning is just old. Michelle on 94.1 has 3 rules, and she never really spends any time getting on to people, it runs very nice and smooth. She does the trader alone, gets it on line and does a great job.
I went out the other morning and put the 99.1 trader on, The guy called in hauling metal. Once he finshed his call, Chris asked him if he'd tell him why he calls into the other shows, what was the reason, how do they rank. I thought two thought, first, it was in poor taste to put someone on the spot like that. My second thought, this show is like a daytime t.v. you can go away for months, and the one time you return, it is so easy to catch up, same old complaining. UGH.
I was at Walgreens around 8ish, and made it to the square and on 68-80 before Chris let that poor guy off the phone.
I would not listen to them if given a choice. I can not stand to hear Betty speak, she messes up every call, can't get things out right, just terrible. REVAMP your show please. I listened to the trader back in the late 90's, but have zero desire to do so now.
Maybe if Chris does the am show, joe the pm show and they are apart and relax a little, maybe.
