Hey friends... we would like to ask you to give us some honest ( even if it is painful ) feedback regarding what you hear on the HOSS 99.1 FM, what you would LIKE to hear ( even if it isn't country ) and what you absolutely cannot stand...

Please try to be a little more creative than YOU ROCK! or YOU SUCK! lol... tell us what we can and should do to be what you want us to be...

also, if you havent.. please join our myspace pages at www.myspace.com/wloconline and www.myspace.com/hearTHEhoss

You are all pretty much just another goldfish in a sea of country radio. Sam 100.7 has the right idea. I would expand it to include good country songs as well. I think it would be great to hear Metallica and George Jones on the same station and I think a lot of other people would as well. My MP3 player has a variety of music on it. So I guess what I'm saying is this, if its a good song then play it, no matter the format.

Well... you pretty much hit the nail on the head of what we aim to do...

i had a vision of a playlist that had local favs too.. like Black Stone Cherry, The Headhunters, in addition to Country that "kicks ass"...

"Program X" is a concept we are going to experiment with in the next couple of weeks starting on Friday nights after the "Trader" program..

listeners will be encouraged to submit requests through a variety of mediums that will ultimately shape.. and create a playlist witha local feel to it, and then it will also allow it to change and evolve with time witht he ability to "vote off" songs people hate as well.

Change takes time and I am sure local folks know how sometimes people are afraid to ripple the water.

I appreciate the Metallica input. I agree that many of the same people who don't mind singing along with "Family Tradition" also find "Sad But True" to be worthy of cranking up on a ride home form work.

And then, let us not forget a periodic homage to Skynyrd.... lol

thanks for your input.. honest feedback is what I need..
well

try a syndicated morning show like john boy and billy.ditch those two goobers you have now.ive heard them be pretty rude to some callers before seems like they think they are a little better than anybody else.

back in the early 90,s 106.7 had a friday night dedication night where you could call in live on the air and dedicate a song to your special someone.i think the program lasted for 2-3 hrs i always enjoyed listening to some of the dedications that where called in.something like that would be neat to hear again.

Chris and Joe do a great job, would like to hear more of the older country songs being played. I really enjoy listening to the morning show as well as the trader. if anyone wants to hear hard rock they have the right to change radio stations. The HOSS is different from all those other radio stations, that is what makes it "THE HOSS 99.1 " . Keep the laughs (and Chris and Joe)on the air ,as no two days on 99.1 are ever the same.

Pop/Rock/Country Remixes are actually going to be a pretty heavy component of the program on Friday nights. I am not sure how familiar people are with the "Scratch n Sniff" program aired fromt he West Coast but basically that is a compilation of remixes and mashups of current and popular songs.

a fairly decent example of what you can expect would be some of my creations you can sample on my myspace page www.myspace.com/dgp4ever

Well, NOBODY likes commercials. But the reality is that someone has to pay for the "Trader" programs to air. Without a little bit of guidelines, the program would be out of control, and folks would/could possibly abuse the program.

We think that $10 is a fair price to post your item for a week on BOTH shows with the exposure they get. It is cheaper than the alternatives, like newspapers and internet sites, with the exception of say, Craig's List.

LOL... I am sure most people will agree that rules are good things to have. If you ever sat through the deluge of phone calls we get daily you might understand a bit better what they deal with daily.

I would, however, be interested in what you mean by "whine about every little thing". In reality these two are pretty laid back guys....

The John Boy and Billy Show would be a great addition.

Why not play some Blues? You could add a show like "The Low Down Ho Down" by Greg Martin that is on D93.

dont get me wrong they have a good program.but when they started whining about somebody putting a dog on there or somebody putting a odd job on there i quit listening and switched to connie and michelle.i listened every morning for years but it got to be a joke hearing them explain the rules every 5 mins. or cutting somebody off that was just trying to make a extra dollar.i very seldom sell anything on the trader programs but have bought alot from them.and appreciate both of the trader programs on either staion.i just prefer the other program its a little more laid back.
