While I sincerely wish this were the case, there is no way this is true.

Oh lordie, lordie...the things people come up with to get the shit stirring machine up and running.

Don't worry What. All the mama's will still be able to get the Little Debbie snack cakes and diet Pepsie for baby Shaneekwa and little Bubba this month with their food stamp card.

Calm down. All is well in entitlement land.

It would really be a shame if something like that happened. I mean, what the hell would these recipients do? Would they starve, get a job and actually BUY their groceries with REAL money? Would they (literally) steal and rob from their neighbors {while they're at work, lol}? Would they go without beer, cig's and dope 'til the draw started coming back in? My gosh, what WOULD happen? It's just awful to think about! Would the messiah oilbama show up with his homies and teleprompters to make an apology and assure his sheep the working taxpayer would be raped deep and hard for this atrocity?

I know that late yesterday afternoon all the ebt machines were down, I just don't know why.
As for you smart a** people, some people actually need help until things can be made better. Ya'll need to stop judging others if you don't know their situations. Foodstamps can be abused like anything else out there but some actually need them.

Unfortunately, that "help" usually lasts for generations.

Some of the people who pay the taxes which support these programs could use help, too- in the form of not having half their wages taken from them...but they don't seem to have choice in the matter.

There is a gross inequality here: Help is optional. Paying to provide that help is not.

I wonder, as more private sector jobs are lost while more government jobs are being created, where is all the money going to come from to pay for all this?(Both the welfare programs and the gov't jobs). This is why this country is going broke.(and it isd too late to stop it)

It's oh so much easier to control people when you get them on your side (hire them to work for the government) and their every aspect of life depends on what you provide or offer them. Most people wont buck the system if they are part of the system...sorta ruins pay day for them. Get people to their lowest point (no jobs, no loans for homes, dependent upon the government for their food, vehicles, medical care, banking needs, etc.) and they will be ever so grateful and loyal as you give back little pieces of what you stole from them in the first place. lol

Exactly! And that scenario has impermeated every strata of life today- to the point where even most farmers essentially work for the government. They've erected this giant, centralized, state-controlled communal system- one which has even out-done Russia- but as long as they liberally use words like "freedom" and "liberty", people believe that they still have those things- meanwhile, every aspect of their lives, finances and even personal relationships are controlled by the all-powerful state.

And as with most tyrannies, the slaves love and defend their master- especially when they are thrown a few crumbs.

I know about twenty people on them, and not one of them needs it. therefor everyone has the right to talk trash about the subject, cause 99.9 percent of people abuse it.

your 78 yr old mother can get 15 cans of that fancy cat food. that should last her a month. what else can she do? looks like your not willing to helpher out. you should be ashamed that your old mother has to depend on a $30 food stamp card because you dont have the time or willingness to help her out. you are a sad case.

Are you people really so f*cking ignorant that you do not know that the state of KY requires you to have A job where you work at least 20 hours a week, or that they will assign you a job doing community hours for the state for at least 20-40 hours a week depending on how many dependants you have in order to receive k-tap, food stamps, or medicaid. Its a great thing and there are no exceptions unless you are permanently disabled.Do your research before you run off at the mouth about things which you know nothing about! So even if someone does not have a job they are basically working for the state to recieve what the need to live, DO THE RESEARCH DUMBA**!

CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT A "WELFARE CHECK" IS THIS DAY IN AGE BECAUSE I DO NOT THINK SUCH A THING EXSIST. THERE IS KY TRANSITIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM(K-TAP) WICH YOU CAN RECIEVE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS BUT MUST HAVE A JOB WORKING aT LEAST 20-40 HOURS A WEEK OR THE STATE PLACES YOU SOMEWHERE TO DO WORK, DISABILITY AND SSI. SO WICH OIF THESE ARE YOU CONSIDERING WELFARE THE K-TAP FOR SINGLE MOTHERS AND CHILDREN, THE DISABILITY FOR PEOPLE THAT CANNOT DO PHYSICAL LABOR, OR THE SSI FOR ELDERLY?

WOW!! Im impressed. PUZZLED seems to be up to date on all these "Hand Out Programs" how long you been getting the hand outs? I bet you were raised on them. I bet your moma collected and still does because your daddy is nowhere to be found. Are you passing all this wisdom on to your children too? LOOK MA, FREE FOOD !!! Free rent,,,free clothing, free furniture, free cash !!! Kinda like winning the lottery for 4 generations. You sound like a pro. Well I think your moma, daddy, siblings and children should get your GEDs and get jobs to feed your fat faces. Im sick of people like you living off hard working people like me. Keep doing your research,,Im sure you can find more freebies and pass that info on to your family. GET A JOB LOSER !!

Try to keep up OKAY ? When your lazy ass lays on the couch for years and the government supplies you with the food you eat...you are on welfare. When that couch is in hosing that you pay 25 dollars a month for...you are on welfare. When you take your kids to the doctor every other day or if you go to the emergency room to stock up on pills and you never have to pay a doctor bill or pay for your medicine...you are on welfare. When this is your life story and your parents life story and this will be your kids life story...you are on welfare.

DO YOU GET IT NOW ? DUH !!!
