Very nice..now more losers than ever are secure in knowing that they can cause more trouble, stir sh*t, hurt and damage others witout fear of discovery. THis new revelation and the $20 bucks that they charge to MAYBE remove a destructive, damaging post is proof that they don't care what is said and who is hurt.
The hidden ISP is only on registered accounts. Trolls and people that do defamation don't register so it will not help them.

I agree, yet disagree. REGISTERED users will post repeatedly and it isn't hard to figure out if they're a local or not. These anonymous posters now only THINK they are more "invisible".. Personally, I don't mind at all that my location is listed correctly. I'm here, I'm posting from here and I don't mind if people know where I am from.
On a side note, MANY of the abusive threads I've personally reported have been removed, and I've not paid a single penny. Other users who have been doing the same can agree. There are still a few that are taking longer to remove than suits me, but they are coming down..
For women the hidden ISP is a safety thing, particularly if you live in a small town. Because if you talk on multiple city forums or a nation-wide thread (the US or State forums) and draw the attention of a nutcase or predator you don't want him to track you right back to where you live.

That's why personal internet use with responsibility is such a must. You cannot put anything out there which would make it easy for a pred or perv to track you down. Realizing that there are ways around the "system", it is still imperative that people be on their toes..

Topix, clearly, would do anything for money. Of all the comments made on the "Pet Peave" thread, I cannot believe that Topix decided that most people wanted a hide-your-location feature. The anonymity of Topix is what most people said should change. I guess that is a Topix Fu^k You to us. I check Topix every day, sometimes twice, just to see if I need to pay the 19.99 to have bullsh&t removed, so I am sure that I am not the only one in the same dumbass boat. Thank god for karma. I only wish I could be around when the pigs making money off of this feel the same pain and humiliation that some have felt because of this site.

That's debate or in some cases dissing someone that disses me. Are you new to internet? You don't seem to know what a troll or trolling is.

Don't sweat it, Jen. You definitely have to take some of these replies with a grain of salt. You will hardly ever find registered users who start an abusive post or thread against someone, but you will find that we know how to stick up for ourselves..

Yep, I'm find now. Finally shook off that what-ever-it-was. Daytona sounds more than nice. Hope you have fun (while the rest of us are roaming around in the cold).
