Did the Raines pay their mortgage? If not, then the bank didn't steal it. God forbid a bank actually expect someone to pay their debts!!!

Hey home, no one wants to take responsibility for their own actions anymore. Must always be someone elses fault. Hell, even tho they didn't pay their bills, it just simply couldn't be their faults...goodness gracious...

don't you just hate it when someone lends you money and then has the gall to expect you to pay it back. I sure hope Obama has a plan to stop this nonsense of expecting people to pay their debts

Thieves can take things even when you pay, when they attach other business debts for franchisees to personal people. They did that to the Raines. Someone kept saying they repossessed vans. South Central may have took vans back from a franchisee of the Raines but NOT the Raines and then they took it out on the Raines and made the Raines pay for it because they had the money. I for one am glad they have homes in other places.

Once again, I heard we were on here. I am not afraid to write my own name on here at all. I cry daily over what those people at that bank did to me and my family. All of you who are making remarks about mortgages NOT being paid, you have no idea what you are talking about. Ask them, the bank. Ask them WHY on earth they spent almost $500,000.00 - YES,$500,000.00 in legal fees! Ask them why when the Judge asked them in Court if we, the Raines, were lucky enough to win the lottery, would they settle with us and they said NO! Personal Vindetta that is why. The owners of that bank told us they would set us out on the street. Because we disagreed with them. Be careful everyone. The signs were up to make everyone aware and to hopefully prevent even one person from having to go through what we have went through, what I KNOW I will have to cry about every day for the rest of my life.

It has been over 2 years now and I drove by MY HOME a couple of days ago and just cried my eyes out - they STOLE it and then realized they "Couldn't" do with it what they wanted to do and now it is just sitting there. They paid $330,000.00 - why list it for $279,000.00, when we willing to buy it back at $250,000.00. They stole our office building and ran the price up to $300,000.00 yet they have it listed for $179,000.00 - WHY would they list these properties for over $150,000.00 less than what they paid at those sales. I know why... because their plan DIDN'T work and they couldn't do with OUR HOME what they intended! Our daughter planned to walk down those steps with her daddy when she got married. She is getting married in 2010. I can't stand the thought of our dreams being crushed. God has a plan - I just don't know what it is. I wish all of you who are criticising would say a prayer for me and my family. At least do that. PLEASE. WE are not bad people, we did pay our bills. We lived in that home for over 10 years and we DID afford it. We worked and we were proud of what we had, because we had worked for it. It is a shame to have someone, who has had everything in life handed to them on a silver platter, just STEAL it all away from you, without even one little bit of compassion. Again, please don't criticize, pray. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. Pray that it won't be you or your loved ones next time that there is a personal vindetta.

They have let it run down inside and out! I, personally, wrote a letter to the Judge and asked if there was a way to make them keep the lawn mowed for our Neighbors sake and that they fix the roof. He made them!

Those of you looking down on us, don't know what happened. Ask me sometime - I will be glad to tell you - show you documents - show you videos of the Court and what was said. WE PAID our mortgage! UNTIl they made it to where we couldn't - how many of you could have your payment doubled and put on a 6 month - yeah, 6 month note and be able to do it? They KNEW we had alot of equity and they thought they would come out on top. WRONG!!! They may have the properties, but they paid dearly for them. Only problem is... EVERY day, I cry. I cry and I cry because we didn't deserve what they did. No-One does.

The loan officer we had worked with for MANY years left that bank and everything changed. The main man there has a vindetta against Randy. Told him he would set his family on the street, with a smile on his face.

Thank you for your prayers. I definitely need them. I pray for others all the time, but I need prayers too.

From what I see here, it appears that the people in question either pledged their house as collateral for business debts, or did something in violation of their mortgage terms, which caused the mortgage to become due immediately.

If you have a mortgage contract, the bank can not "steal" the house- they have to legally foreclose- and for them to be successful in doing that, YOU had to be in default on some terms of your contract.(My guess is that you took out a 2nd or 3rd mortgage on the house, which was likely forbidden in your mortgage contract)

I had a mortgage with SCB and they were the finest bank I've ever dealt with.

So come on- how about some honesty here...what did you do the default on your contract?

(And if your husband or you signed a personal guarantee for corporate debts, they can certainly come after any equity in the home if you defaul;t on those debts. )

I typed a full explanation to your questions, but I deleted it and I have decided that I will not say more. See, I have learned one important thing - you better NOT trust anyone. Good luck to you and I hope you don't get taken advantage of by that bank. I say prayers every day that they can never do to anyone else what they did to my family.

Let's just say they may have won the battle but the war isn't over, so I better not say more.

Sorry to sound vague, but trust is a huge issue with me now - I always pretty much trusted everyone, and they changed that. Once again, Good luck to you and I do hope you will say prayers that God will work in people's lives. He can do miracles.

Well, quite frankly, I don't trust people, either- and especially not banks- but I paid off my SCB mortgage and never had a problem.

Trust is not the issue. A mortgage is a contract. If they do something which is not allowed by the terms of that contract, they you can taker action against them, and have it upheld in a court.

If they do something which is not according to the terms of the contract, then they can take you to court and have the tyerms of the contract enforced- which is exactly what it sounds likes a judge did.

If what you say is true, then both the bank and the court would have had to have been in collaboration, conspiring against you.(Not that that couldn't happen...but it is rather a stretch- especially when you won't diosclose the details of the situation. What you are saying is "They cheated me", and bad-mouthing them....but yet you won't post the details of the scenario that would convince us of their guilt and your innocence? Seems to me, if I were in such a situation, I would want others to hear the real story- and would be looking for an attorney, because if what you say is true, you would have a very good case, and stand to make a lot of money. So you are saying that you paid your mortgage in accordance with the terms of the mortgage; didn't do anything, which under the terms of the mortgage swould make the mortgage due and payable; didn't sign a personal guarantee for other debts; and didn't default on other debts with this bank????)

I am a neutral party- and would like to believe you, and even offer advice to help you...but you have not convinced me that you are the victim here. It would be very hard- almost impossible for a bank and a court to illegally take your house if you were in compliance with your mortgage contract- so the burden of proof is on you to convince us that they somehow managed to do that.

This reminds me of a friend of mine, who entered into a contract to sell some property for $750K. He then renegged on the deal, because he thought the property was worth more. The buyer sued him for five million dollars, and when all was said and done, the property was auctioned off and my friend was left with only $100K.(after paying his own and the plaintiff's legal bills) He now goes around saying that they stole his property- but he was the one who renegged on a signed contract and didn't keep his word. They just enforced what he had agreed to.

It's a terrible thing for anyone to lose their home- and I wouldn't wish such on an enemy or a druggie....but I have a strong suspicion that you risked your home for other things, and then were forced to make good.

Oooppss! Sorry for the darn typos!

Should read: "THEN you can take action against them and have it upheld in a court.

If YOU do something which is not according to the terms of the contract..."
