After 4 years with this president, and realizing we have another 4 years of the same and probably worse many of us and many states feel like we want to split away from Washington DC. 30 states are more than half of our states. We want to live under the Constitution. What is happening out there is so wrong. We have this president because of corruption, voter fraud, etc. It is hard to believe this is happening. Now with the hearings beginning today, and will be hearing about cover up after cover up it is really hard to listen to the news nowdays. We should be having an outcry, our Congress should be investigating all the corruption and voter fraud. We should not have to live under this another 4 years.

On the contrary, it was a victory for America. These people who started these petitions are a bunch of whiny crybabies that are butthurt over the election. If, say, California or Oregon had started one of these petitions after the 2004 election, the wingnuts would be calling it treasonous.

No matter who won, it would be the same thing, because these politicians have an agenda, and that agenda has been played out over the last 100 years.

If Romney had won, most of my fellow conservatives would have gone back to sleep and simply have given him a free pass, as they did with Bush- even though they practice the same economics and unconstitutional BS as the dumbo-crats.[Think Patriot Act; John Roberts (appointed by Bush; gave Obamacare free pass through SCOTUS), etc.]

At least with The Marxist in there, all conservatives KNOW what he is, and will thus be more diligent and become more fervent conservatives; and maybe by some miracle, we'll actually have a rebellion/secession and start taking our freedom back.

Although, politics alone isn't going to do it. Really, our problems in this country are not just political, but moral- from the bottom, up; and that is where any real change and return to sanity must come from.

Ignorance is also a factor. Look how many were promoting Romney as their "hero" and as an alternative to The Marxist; and yet, Romney is pretty much a clone of Obama, as can be seen by his past performance in the liberal, high-tax state which he governed for years.

Repugnant-cans and dumbo-crats are both corrupt and both trample the Constitution. We need real alternatives, like Ron Paul if we're ever going to get anything done, but there are too many people sucking off of the government teat [from welfare recipients, to farmers, to aerospace workers, to bus drivers) for the popular vote to ever favor someone who advocates freedom; limited government; sound non-confiscatory economics and constitutionality.

Just look at the pathetic attitudes you see expressed on this forum.[e.g. "Wow", above, for one example.]

Instead of people voting for who will best uphold the Constitution, they instead vote for who will promiose them the most "benefits" and who will enforce their particular values/worldview on the rest.

That, and how our culture has devolved, will pretty much guarantee that this country goes down in flames.

I wonder how many people that signed the petitions know that they would have to have their own currency, border guards, tax structures and so many other things that the federal does that we don't think about on a daily basic.Starting a new country is now as simple as first sight.

There are things stated in this thread that do ring true but there's something else to consider and that is... do you really think we have a choice with the presidential elections? You can cry to congress, stalk the senate or petition all you want but the truth is congress and the house of representatives as a whole are the ones who put Obama back in. Elections these days are just a ceremonial gig that's still played out to make the regular Joe's feel like they still have a say. The fact of the matter is we don't. They pick the president and when the tally is revealed it's what they want you to see. Seriously... do you think that your vote is made anonymously behind a curtain in a little booth for your own security or protection? Initially, yes, it was. These days it's a great tool for the jokers who are running this country (into the ground, I might add) to make sure that "Mark" doesn't know who "Mary" truly voted for. The results we're shown are made up. The truth is we need to figure out a way to take our country back but the sad part is there are too many rich who like the way the government pampers them while bending the working class over repeatedly. The question is... what can we do about it? Is secession a good option? What can we do to restructure the way that OUR country operates and break away from constantly being pinned down by those of greater fortune?

Thank you for the comments; at least some of them. I'm the person who started this thread. I read where all 50 states have now began the signing. I would not sign anything like that. I think we all know we are so divided. We have two America's now. Those of us who voted hoping we could turn all this around, and those who want everything handed to them. There are exceptions; I know many who did vote for this president. Makes you wonder whether they are now seeing what the rest of us are feeling and seeing. I see nothing changing for the better. Each day is bringing more business's in trouble. Obamacare is coming in. I'm thankful I know Who is in control. We will walk through this one day at a time. I just wanted to say Thank You. It is good to read comments from those of you who can see through all this!

Bush is someone people will not forget anytime soon, hate to bust your bubble, but its going to be alot longer than 4 years, before republicans can bring this country down again.

Are you awake enough to realize this country is going down now. We have been going down faster since November 6. That is 9 days! Everyday we are seeing and hearing something to cause us to see that.

Do you want some things that are going down that were not in the process before November 6?Things that were unwinding that would have continued if Romney had been elected do not count.

could be why romney wasnt voted in for president
1. the government puts its paws into our checks for taxes, but when the taxpayer gets down and needs help they cry "they just want handouts"
2. my parents worked all their life to support their children, now they are on disability, or retirement, but the government cries, "they just want handouts"
Attention to all the brainwashed citizens out there
the government is supposed to be for the people by the people. thats why these programs for the needy are there. if the government can dip their hands in my check, then i can dip right back into theirs.

Hell, all the politicians say the are going to do this and do that before elected to office. They don't have a clue just like me or you what they are going to do. It is just a line of B.S. to get elected then to hell with the promises. Everybody takes the Democrat-Republican status a little too far. What about American? That ought to be the only party. American

Honestly Dawg, can you please detail what Bush did that "sunk this country?" I keep seeing socialists post that claim but am not aware what he did that caused our problems. I do know that he increased the budget deficit and the national debt, but nowhere near the levels of the Marxist Mulatto. Please inform us.

Border guards??? Obummer won't let the ones we have enforce our laws. I bet there would be plenty of CITIZENS that would VOLUNTEER to keep our state protected.
