You should call the child support office! He will have to pay after a paternity test is done. Even if he gets paid under the table and doesn't pay taxes, he will have to pay the smallest amount, I think it is $212.00 a month, that is minimum wage rate!

Means he is going to jail.. My baby daddy is like 2,600 behind and he goes back to court in Nov and they said he will go to jail from there. But one thing i have learned you have to stay on the child supp office all the time to get them to do some thing about him not paying

I don't understand why they make it feel like its your fault when the mom/dad falls behind. I pay my bill and work, Im the good person here. Your right the child support office you have to stay on top of them to get anything done. I have family that live in other parts of Ky and the office calls them if there is a problems. Will he go to jail after he goes to court or will they issue some type of warrent?
Yeah

child support is no longer a felony under Kentucky state law... owing child support is now a civil matter. you won't besneding any more baby-daddies to jail, you'll be taking them to civil court and suing them... good luck with that lol

Actually they can still be sent to jail, if they don't keep up with an agreed order to pay.

not too sure about that, but i do know that the state is no longer pressing felony charges against people who back-owe child support... that never made any sense to me anyways... why the fuck would you lock somebody up for owing money??? how in the fuck are they supposed to ever pay you back??? and then when they get out they owe even MORE! instead of doing that, they should have some sort of state work program. if you get behind on your child support because you loose your job or whatever, instead of locking the person up, make them work on the state road crew and subtract $7.50/hour from what they owe... don't pay them money for working, but let them work until their debt is paid off. then everybody is happy. the guy that got behind on child support doesn't have to go to jail, the state gets free labor and doesn't waste money housing the guy for owing money, and the children that need the support get it.

Yes, you can still go jail for non support. Whether it be by County warrant or by state, federal non support warrant, which is a felony. My ex was just indicted by the grand jury and she has an active felony warrant as we speak.

If you read the police/court reports in any of the local newspapers or go to the Barren County Jail site you will see that people are charged with and/or jailed all the time for not paying child support.
