Wal-Mart is firing a lot of their 20+ year employees for some very stupid reasons. It is a shame a place such as that doesn't want to keep their good loyal employees because they don't want to give them their benefits anymore. I can't wait to see all the part time people they hire for minimum wage and how well they will work out. They fired an awesome girl that worked in the vision center here in Glasgow, Sheila is her name....best person in that vision center, well her and the real pretty black girl. The rest of those vision center girls are whores and the manager is a freaking joke...ask her how to find out how many blow jobs it takes to get to the top.

Baseless accusations without a single shred of honesty in it. How would like it if someone came on here and called your mother, wife or sister the names you used on here?

Did you actually think about what you wrote, before you typed it?

LOL.....I don't need or want your advice and I don't worry about what people would call my mother, wife, or sister because they don't act like that and if they did...oh well....

That will be Walmart down fall. As they get rid of the older associates. There will not be any experence people to train them. So would u rather have someone that know what their doing or some moran off the streets telling u crap they don't themself. Just remember one thing it could happen to u at anytime.

Since we have all figured by now that "someone who care" is Shiela, are you the older woman with short hair who was always hateful towards everyone? That woman never had a smile on her face and always had a nasty attitude like whatever you were asking for or needed help with was an inconvience to her.

I don't believe this is the place to be airing out your problems. You need to settle down a bit.

This is a forum and this thread is about people being fired for no reason at Wal-Mart. If you don't want to hear it don't read it. I'm curious to know just how many other employees that have been there for longer than 15 years has lost their jobs.

If you believe that they are firing all the 20+ yr employees then go to the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). At least run it by them

GE is doing the same thing and they have a union! A lot of people have always thought that Walmart being unionized would have changed things for them. Just ask the people at GE that has broke their back for many years just to be escorted to the parking lot with a pink slip. It's the way of the world. When you have a president and his sheep doing everything they can to get rid of the old people (shoving them in a corner, putting a pain patch on them and letting them "die with dignity") it's no wonder that places such as Walmart, GE and others are falling right in line.

Vote the dems in again and kiss your old mama and daddy's ass goodbye. It's the Obama way. It's the greedy corporations way. Oldies are in the way of progressive progress.

Wal-Mart is not the only workplace that gets rid
of their "older" employees. I am laid off from a
job that I had for 14 yrs. because management wanted
to "get rid" of all the older employees and start
fresh with younger ones. Needless to say, the
newer ones don't have a clue as to what is going on.
It always hurts a business when one day you go in & don't see any of the old familiar faces you used to see.

Sheila never was friendly to anyone & couldnt adjust a pair of glasses if her life depended on it. How stupid are peolpe to believe that she was fired for going to lunch to early, she had been in trouble many times but her ass had been saved. She went to lunch early cause her nasty ole husband that had nothing else to do but sit at mcdonalds & gossip was hounding her to go to lunch not to help out the vision center. I was personally told that by one of the other vision center associates. They also said it took her many times to past her liscence test & than she barely passed it on her last chance so it doesnt sound to me like she was such a wounderful opticial worker thaat her friend on here claimed she was

I don't know anything about Sheila, but I do know that Wal-Mart is looking to fire anybody for anything. They make you work overtime then tell you to lose it by the end of the week. They have fired a few for meal exceptions. A few minutes late or early, they don't care. They don't want full time employees there. To much money goes out to them. They want part timers there to save on money. Wal-Mart use to be the place to work. Now they don't have enough help to even run the store. All the ones that are left have to do all other departments work which leaves no time for their own. Then they come and complain that something isn't done in your work area? Come on Wal- Mart. One person can only do so much. No wonder the Dollar Store gets your business.

Sounds like someone was giving you personal info about an employee or you work for Wal-Mart and you are violating one of their many policies....
