Just read another article in the paper today. First, this guy lies on his resume. Then, I have'nt heard one positive thing out of him yet. Now, he's lying again (or it seems to me). I have to admit my family voted for Mayor Trautman but will be darn if we do it again. She brought this guy in here to do what? Lie and ride around in a humvee. Goodness gracious they made Gary Bewley quit for something those other policemen did. Bout time for a change again. Comments anybody?

This whole thing smells fishy to me. Seems like this guy is off on his knowledge of the law. First he don't know you shouldn't do overtime on a factory strike then he don't know you should't do your own investigation on a robbery that used a police gun. what eles don't he know. Is Fl. law different I mean right is right and wrong is pretty clear in thse cases.

At least he knows how to get free shit. I mean the pd lot looks like a used/junk lot with all those fine looking vehicals. I love the van, with this pd we must remember if its rocking don't bother knocking.

Good point you got there lady or queen or whatever. Gary was my kids D.A.R.E. teacher years ago. My son enjoyed his class. Gary always talked to us in public and he got a raw deal if you ask me. As a resident I'm embarassed to read about Trautman's hand picked person also. I feel for the couple of good police officers that are left. And yes I also agree about a change being needed.

I think its nice how when one law enforcement agency is in the spot light the other one steps up to take some of the attention away from them.

I'm friends with a couple of the officers. Not going to name them because i don't want their name trashed on this website. But they told me lots of times they wish they had somebody that knew what they were doing definately not what they got.

I read the paper also. Love the part where he supposedly told the detective about a search coming. Something stinks around here and it ain't the cheese factory this time.

I can't understand why we the people of Barren Co can't demand a public background check on this guy. Why was he brought from Flordia for this job, I don't think he has the experience he pretends to have.

The mayor and all 12 council members at the time last year were made well aware of Turcotte's background by both private citizens and the media before he was even sworn in. They CHOSE not to listen. Remember that come election time.

So the guy that taught my DARE class was the chief? And now he's not? Why?

Because there was two policemen who had pill problems. The city council felt he should resign over their problems. Now all you have to do is ask any of the police officers of all the screw ups their current chief is doing. And yet you wonder where is the council at now?
