I heard earlier tonight that the old dawahares was gonna be a strip club/live topless dancing place. They have been painting in there the last few weeks. They are also building a dancing stage.

This is exactly what is wrong with Topix. It's a church. It's a 2nd campus of Crossland Community Church out of Bowling Green. The kids classrooms are called Pebble Park. They have been painted with butterflies, flowers, and squirells. The stage is for the praise and worship band. A long cry from the way you describe.
I do however want to invite you when we open. It's a great addition to Glasgow!

this is exactly what is wrong with our society. its a losing battle to try to get ppl to have morals. they come up with some of the craziest things to say and then our kids are not being brought up right. im glad to hear thats what it is. i love my wife and kid and id never dream of goin to those places. shes all ill ever need, im the happiest man in the world and im proud to say this. i dont go to church and may not live the best in the world but im happy with all i got. if a real man could feel this way and make his family happy he wouldnt need those things .

Yeah, that's all Glasgow needs is another church. It isn't like we don't have dozens of them already. With all the churches, banks, and cash advance places, you'd swear Glasgow should be the holiest place in the world because everyone get's a cash advance to load the church coffers so they can keep the banks in business.

Glasgow needs more entertainment venues, not more places that condemn them.

I would say this church felt led to come to Glasgow. At least, I hope it happened that way.
If they did God had a reason for sending 'another church here' as you put it Logical Thought.
There could be people begin going there that haven't found a church here.

What denomination is the church? Do the condemn everyone to hell for making mistakes? Do they judge people and say it is in the name of God even though the judgement comes from man? Do they preach about the love of jesus or tell us to conform to the bible. Use scare tactics or love? I am serious with my questions so if you carry anger no need to reply, I will have my answer.

They beleive in God's Grace and the Love that Jesus has for us. Everyone is accepted there. Everyone. I was unsure when I went there in BG. I had not found a Church in Glasgow the three years I've lived here. I don't like people being judged by other people. I want to be judged by the Grace of God. I think, no I know you will find that there. I walked in the door and was sold. I hope you and everyone else that reads this does the same thing. I think your questions will be answered as soon as you walk through the doors.

You haven't "found a church"? What you mean is, you haven't found a church that tells you what you want to hear and doesn't step on your toes for living life the way you want to. No doubt, judging others is wrong, especially when your own life is perfect, however you are completely foolish and naive to think that every single church building you walk into will not have at least a couple of people like this. God loves the judgemental and hypocritical people just the same that He loves you, and if those people are all it takes to keep you out of worshipping Him at one venue or another, well, read His Word for what he has to say about that. You need to read His Word anyway in order to determine the way you should live your life, and the way you should worship, THEN go look for the church location that best portrays the words of the Bible in both how they speak and how they treat you. So what if you get a little criticism along the way? Maybe it's what you need. And if those that give it need it as well, then give it back to them in Christian love, for they need it also; don't let a few hurt feelings get in the way of obeying Him, which is what going to church is all about in the first place!!

You are correct,no one is worthy. Not me, not you, nor anyone else. We are all less than perfect. I'm just excited to be apart of a church that makes it comfortable for anyone. It's a breath of fresh air for me. I'm just excited to be lead by a Pastor that during every sermon challenges me and keeps me thinking through the week about the message. It's making changes in me that are long overdue. I can confess that my realtionship with God is closer than it ever has been, and is growing everyday. You judged me as naive, foolish, and wanting an easy relationship with God. I don't agree with you, but I'm OK with that. I know I'll judge someone or something again. I'm not perfect. To be honest, I judged this church two weeks before I ever went there. I was for sure it was a cult of some type. A church on the backside of a strip mall in Bowling Green? Are you kidding me? I sure am glad I didn't let my doubts get in the way.

I should clarify, does the beliefs of the church (not actions of the congregation) preach condemnation and judgemental practices. Or does it preach the love of Jesus and the kindness, tolerance, and love he showed? See I have been to easter service and head the pastor say he would shoot himself in the head if they found the remains of Jesus! SHOOT HIMSELF, with my kids there! I haven't been to church since. I would not presume as a person to judge another harshly, and I would require the same respect. I am a good person and when I die I am confident my good deeds surpass my bad deeds. I have made mistakes but I want to raise my children with the Love of Jesus, not hell and brimstone! The world is harsh enough, they don't need that kind of brain washing condemnation. But a place to gather and show kindness, love of life and lord, and share in our relationship with him would be cool.
