Come worship with us this morning! Service is in the old Dawahare's building and starts at 10:30. Come as you are and come early for fellowship in the lobby where there is a coffee bar and tables to visit with each other.

The service starts with a live upbeat band; the Pastor is Gregg Farrell and his sermons are awesome.

While there, check out the colorful Sunday school rooms for children. A nursery is also available to those with babies.

The service starts at 10:30 which includes everyone, then the children can stay or continue their worship with other children in one of the Sunday School rooms.

Hope to see you there!

They do have a website for the Bowling Green church, but I don't think it has been updated to include Glasgow yet. It is http://www.crosslandchurch.org/

So church is at 10:30? Is sunday school during church? Are there many teens/children? I am looking for a family oriented, Bible preaching church.

I read here that this Church has a coffee bar, tables to visit, a upbeat band and colorful Sunday School Rooms. That is all fine and good but Social Clubs have all the same things what I would really like to know is if Jesus is invited into the services. Is it a church of prayer. Does it have a preacher that actually preaches the Word of God hard or does he just tickle the ears of the congregation. Does the preacher know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and does he and the Church make it a point to try to win souls to the Lord Jesus Christ. Does this Church warn people of the reality of Hell for those who die lost in their sins.

Yes, he preaches the Bible, and does a great job making the Bible come alive.

Ok, here it is, the good and the bad (in my opinion)We visited today. Yes at first it does seem to be a lot of bells and whistles with the coffee, tables, and then the big screens besides. There were a LOT of people. Children church is well organized too. The worship band was a bit loud and distracting. Less drums and tone down the volume a bit would be better.

That all said, the preaching was wonderful. Some of the best I have heard in a while :) Scripture was taken from NIV, my least favorite Bible version. Unfortunately, Pastor was broadcast on a large screen , not live. He was supposed to be there for the evening preaching but I didn't make it back.

Overall it was a positive experience and we do plan on going back for another visit at least :)

I'd be very careful of getting caught up in a church like this. Seems like they are trying to use a lot of smoke and mirrors. coffee bar etc and then the preacher just appears by tv. sounds like another scam artist if u ask me. talk about ur false prophets and wolf in sheeps clothing. u dont need all of the hoopla to praise God. These churches just want ur money. Look at Joel Osteen. Have u seen what kind of rich lifestyle he lives all bcuz he is charismatic and can talk people in to giving money to him. if u want to be a good chrisitian go out and volunteer at a homeless shelter or just do a good deed. dont be fooled by these preachers who pull out all the stops to entertain u.

What a joke! If I wanted to watch a preacher on a big screen I'd just stay home and watch a church service on TV. I guess that's what you can expect from a church that has both their locations in shopping centers. It's more like a big Christian social outing than a church if you ask me. No live preacher, loud band, tables, coffee and refreshments... yeah that's not a church.

There is more to Christianity then "good works" such as volunteering at a homeless shelter. Faith without works is dead, yes but we are also called to fellowship. I don't think you should judge it if you you haven't visited there.

I wasn't "implying" as you seem to think that "good works" was all there is to being a good Christian. I was simply saying that it was my "opinion" that it sounded like the type of "Church" that I do not care for. Yes Fellowship is a great part of attending a church. But that is not all that there is to being a Christian anymore than doing good deeds is. BUT I still think that actions speak louder than words and it is each and every persons own responsibility to live their life in a good and positive way. It is not anyone else's responsibility to Judge another or to tell someone else that they are wrong and should do things a certain way. I was ont Judging this "church" I was simply letting people know that there are churches like that out there and to not be so quick to give your money out until you know it is for a just cause or purpose. I like the old fashioned kind of churches that are not all "Glitz and Glamour" and who accept everyone into their congregation, especially those in need who do not have money to give. There are churches out there such as Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY that will not let you become a member unless you divulge your income and make a pledge to give a certain amount of your income. Ask yourself, would Jesus require you to give him money in order to be saved or blessed by him? Is there a cost associated with getting in to heaven? I for one don't think so and therefore I stay away from churches like these who only care about money. Yes a church does need people to give money in order to help keep the church open. It is sort of like a business, but it shouldn't go to the extreme that many churches do. A church is just a building in which to worship. You can worship anywhere and you can invite God to be a part of your daily life even if you do not go to church. Again this is just my "opinion" just as youhave yours. I am not Judging anyone, so don't you Judge me.

So I guess you like the old fashioned churches that drag little children to the alter while they're screaming all the way. Jesus would like that I'm sure.

This church does not require anyone to dilvuge their income or force anyone to give a certain amount to be a member. Everyone is welcome, even judgmental people like you.

If you want to hear God's word preached, then this is the church for you.

Obviously you cannot read because I was simply stating my opinion, not placing Judgement on anything or anyone. I was simply telling people to be aware of churches that do that sort of thing because from my "experience" the churches with all the Glitz and Glamour are the ones that are just in it for the money. Obviously you had a bad "experience" with an "old-fashioned" church when you were little because you stated that "old fashioned" churches pull the kids screaming and crying to the altar. Well you are Judging based on that statement because not all "old-fashioned churches" do that. I am sorry for your bad experience and I am happy that you like this church. To each his own. I just don't like to see good intentioned people get swindled by smooth talkers. I was simply telling people to be aware because there are churches out there that just want your money. I was not saying that this was one and I was not Judging it. And what I meant by "old-fashioned" was the type of church that was small and quaint. Everyone knew everyone but were welcoming of newcomers. People attended both sunday School and Church Services. Good old church hymns were played and sung, scripture was read and the preacher gave a sermon. That's just how i like it. And at no time was I dragged to the altar. That is a Baptist Church more than likely. Again, not Judging just speaking from experience. In my church you took classes on what the church was all about and learned the Bible and when you were old enough to understand and decide for yourself that you wanted to be Baptised, then you were. No pressure. So don't get all nasty and defensive. I was not downing you or this church. I was simply talling people to be wary and to make sure that this was what they wanted and not to start readily giving their money to something or someone that they don't know. That's all. I cannot stand hypocrites who use God's name to try and swindle others and believe me there are plenty of people like that out their.

Its a nice church, lots going on but there is room for improvement. For one lots of nice Christmas trees BUT not even one NATIVITY scene!? 2 the music, no Christmas music :( Also the music is VERY (too) loud praise and worship. funny thing is many I spoke to say they like the church. love the message but do NOT like the music. Maybe its time to ask the congregation what they like. Results may be surprising. You should be able to go to church hear a good message as well as good music.

My family is looking for a new church.... Preferably Non-denominational BUT. I do not ever want to get caught up in a "name it and claim it" church again. You can NOT order God around NOR can you walk in VICTORY all the time and just because something negative happens in your life---- does NOT mean it is because of any sin you have committed! So if that's what they teach an believe--- someone say so now and spare me from visiting just to get up and walk back out the door.
