There is a new church in Glasgow called "Crossland Community Church". It's located in the building where Dawahare's was and service is at 10:30 each Sunday morning. The Pastor is Gregg Farrell and he does a fantastic job. It's a "come as you are" setting; has a coffee bar in the lobby, and the service starts with a live band. The Sunday School rooms for kids are AWESOME. The youth meets for special worship on Sunday nights at 6pm. The first night they met, 241 showed up - and that was with no advertising, just word of mouth. We hope to see you there next Sunday!

There have been four church services since it started, and I have been to all of them. The Pastor refers to it as an "inter-denominational " rather than "non-denominational. He said that techically they are Baptist, but a very very non-traditional Baptist.

They also meet the second Wednesday night of each month at 6:30 for communion. The Pastor says that the youth is the future of the church, and there are youth programs galore. Just looking at the Sunday School rooms makes me want to be a kid again. Each Sunday night the youth meets for Pizza, the live band, and Bible study.

They also have a church in Bowling Green with 1500 members. They said that about 70 of the people attending in Glasgow had been driving to the Bowling Green church for the past year.

The church is attended by all ages, and even the very old appears to love the band, which is rather loud and upbeat!

It's a lot like Hillvue church if you know anything about that church.

Is this any of the people from Hillvue Heights church in Bowling Green? Hope so! My family and I have driven to B.G. several times to attend Hillvue Heights. Pastor Steve Ayres and several church members are friends. Very nice christan people. Heard Jason Brooks music director at Calvary Baptist attends church there, is this correct? He's a nice young man also.

I've been looking for a church like this. I think I'll go this Sunday. When you say, "Go as you are", do you mean I don't have to get all dressed up? I'm not into having to dress to impress in order to go to church. I think a nice pair of jeans and a nice blouse is just fine for church, at least in God's eyes. Would it be okay to wear that at this church?

Yes, jeans are perfectly fine. Many also wear shorts and t-shirts. It's a mixture, many people also have their "church clothes" on.

God also made the devil.
First of all don't go getting all defensive. These are sincere questions.
Have you read the Bible?
Can you show me any scripture that supports that the gay lifestyle is good and acceptable in God's eyes?
Good churches like/love everyone who is not perfect, but does not choose a sin filled lifestyle.

Sounds great, been looking for a church like this myself. I'll probably be coming out next Sunday. Thanks for letting people know :)

And Minor Gossett, keep your humorless antics to the other post and try to leave the Christian ones alone and maybe really do attend that church or any for that matter.

Wow how did you come to a sexual orientation like that? That was quite a stretch even for you. Try church sometimes, you'll be a new person once you find Jesus, his yoke is easy and is burden light. And you sound like you have a lot of bitterness toward life, church will do the trick. Well church and possibly ex-lax for you :) I'll keep you in my prayers though. But no I don't have a girlfriend *cring*, hence the name "Christian Mommy".

Where do you keep getting this nonsense about it being a alternative lifestyle church? Someone must have used words you did understand and you assumed that's what they meant. You are quite the character. I'll still keep praying for you though.

I actually feel sorry for the kid. We need to pray for is parents also. Obviously they don't pay much attention to him. He is starving for attention so badly that he resorts to being obnoxious, so people have pay him attention. The least they could do is buy him a XBox or PS3.

Isn't the preacher queer? He sure walks like it. And wasn't his wife in those pornos that the Piercy guy sells at the flea market in CC
