Link to www.wsws.org.Th is is a true sign of the police state we are now in.If 450 people have died from them, then they are a LETHAL weaopan. This is no joke,it represents people being assaulted with a deadly weapon-sometimes with very little to no provocation, they are a TORTURE METHOD THAT INCAPACITATES A PERSON TO FORCE COMPLIANCE.How can it be legal to torture a person to gain compliance-when torture is forbidden by INTERNATIONAL LAW even as a method of punishment? How can Police be given the power to inflict a punishment to gain compliance-when the victim HAS NOT BEEN CONVICTEd OF ANYTHING in a court of law.I am not coming down on the local cops,BUT this is a sign that our freedoms are in a SERIOUS DECLINE.I have friends in Law Enforcement, but I wonder what the police are going to do when the United Nation Troops come into the pictyre, and they find out that they have been had just like the rest of us.

The answer is simple - people need to comply with law enforcement officers! Do what you are told, when you are told and you won't get tasered!

No, people when they are stopped by a law enforcement officer have to start running their mouths, resisting the officer or worse yet - trying to punch him/her..

Worse yet, they start reaching inside of their coat/jacket or inside their waist band, when their hands are suppose to up in the air.

Yeah my name says it all,not surprised that a cop would reply to my comment, the actual link is www.wsws.org .I am all for cops protecting themselves, but how did you do it before tasers Mr police officer? The problem is that cops have been tasering kids, and the elderly. When this one world government goes into effect, you probably wont like FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS from United Nations officers, and then geting tased if youy step out of line, because this is coming SOON-MARTIAL LAW.THE MAIN PROBLEM is that these tasers are unconstitutional,as explained in my above post, you may not like it if one of your kids is tasered-when they HAVE NOT BEEN CONVICTED OF ANYTHING!Oh I forgot that the US constitution is a piece of toilet paper now.Best to you and your family.

You make absolutely no sense, whatsoever in your rambling baseless accusations. All you have to do is simply follow the law - it is that easy! Don't drink and drive, don't use drugs and drive, if you do, you are going to have to pay the price.

If you are stopped and don't follow the officer's commands, then you are either going to get bitten by a police K9 or you are going to get tasered.

Then again, it is mostly your generation that has absolutely no respect for anyone, including yourself - it is all about me!

Grow up and heed my words, before it is too late...

I'll tell you what they used to do before tasers. they either caved your skull in, or knee caps with a baton on shot your ass, and I think anything they have to do to subdue a moron without physical contact is fine by me. Nothing says a cop has to get hit or spit on. I agree totally with the other poster that says if the law tells you to do something, just do it, keep your mouth shut and comply. And i'm no cop, I'm an old musician. People need to start having some respect for the law and each other.

You are still a retard do your research no deaths have been linked to tasers they are the result of chemical inhanced deaths. If those idiots hadn't gotten high and done something stupid enough to get tased they would not have died. Enough said do your research You tube doesn't count. Retard.

The rule of law is dead in the USA. We have a president who does not constitutionally qualify to be president; who acts in contempt of court and contempt of Congress- and ditto all the other branches and agencies of government- they just do what they want, and use force to make the citizenry comply.

America is long dead. We the people have let them take our power away.

The 2nd amendment, which the Founders intended to be our ultimate guarantee against the tyranny and injustice of a police state, is just about dead in most places.

What we re seeing here today is a scary re-enactment of Hitler's Germany- complete with roadblock and searches and brutality and governmental control of every sphere of our lives.

Time to leave this slum. Watch it go down in smoke and ashes from far away. We might not have what we once had here, elsewhere...but outside of N. America and Europe, the government pretty much leaves people alone- if only because they don't have the resources to erect such a tyranny.

I know several people who have left already- and although the places they've gone to may be nothing special, they are amazed at how they are just left alone to live a normal life, after being used to the tyranny and constant government meddling and involvement and control of everything here.

Want to really see how bad things are? Just go to youtube and search "police brutality"; "Police beat"; "Police shoot"; "police kill", etc. There are 1000's of videos of pigs caught in the act- and in many cases, even knowing they are being filmed- in some cases by the media, even.

And where they don't know they're being filmed, they and their partners in crime (other pigs) LIE against the victim- and often even charge the innocent saps with crimes!!!!

And it is not just a "few bad cops". Rather, it is that our police forces have been militarized by federal funding- and are now staffed by sadistic mercenary bastards who will brutalize anyone, because this is the type of employee you get when you need people who will wage war on non-criminals and disregard the constitution and do whatever they are told.

Wow all of these responders have misinterpreted what I was saying.my main point is our constitution IS IN DANGER,and wheter people would like to admit it or not-these corporate globalists are sending us straight into a one world government-in a one world government do you think a country would be allowed to keep a constitution?I admit that I may have came across mean, and I apologize-that wasnt my intention.People who give up their rights under the guise of protection, they lose both.I dont have anything personally against a single cop in the world-I was trying to WARN them, that the laws they are enforcing that are unconstitutional may come back to bite them when this whole thing is complete.Edu cate yourselves about the New World Order-while there is still info available on the internet. We all need to put personal issues aside-the people at the very top have an evil agenda, and it is going to afeect each and every one of us.

There's no proof that the taser has caused any deaths. The people who have died after being tased suffered from heart complications to begin with. So no one can say whether it was the taser or the adrenaline rush from resisting arrest. But everyone can avoid the risk of death by complying with law enforcements requests even if you don't agree with them. You have the right to a fair trial so don't make it look worse by resisting arrest.

From everything I have read, seen, or heard if my child gets tased then they probably deserved it. There are policy and procedures for the deployment of a taser and there are consequences if the policy is violated. I'm sure there have been Taser deployments that were not necessary, but I'm even more confident to say that there have been a larger percentage that were justified and saved plenty of officers as well as perpetrators from serious physical injury.

Glasgow won't have to worry about too many of the officers qualifing for a TASER, you have to be able to read at a fifth grade education level to pass the test.

Actually you are the retard, the deaths are due to to electricity being introduced during the vulnerable period of the cardiac cycle, better known as relative refractory which in turn can potentially induce an arrhythmia called ventricular fibrillation which is a deadly arrhythmia if not treated with defibrillation (shock) ironic huh? The reason it doesn't kill everyone would be because everyone would be due to the fact we all are different shapes and sizes, and are hydrated at different levels, in which our impedance ( electrical resistance) can vary. That being said we are all approximately 80% salt water which is an incredible conductor of electricity. So if the taser is administered in the vicinity of the upper chest front or even more precariously upper left back the potential for lethality is much greater because the amount of insulation between the origin of the electricity and the myocardium are in such close proximity. That being said knowing the typical police mentality and the stereotypical psyche of those who seek out those jobs, and lack of general overall education I would prefer they stick with batons

You used a lot of big words. But the taser corporation has done years of research regarding the taser and it has linked no deaths with it's use. Regardless the taser is a great tool that has been added to law enforcement and if used Properly saves many lives and less serious injury to the officers and bad guys. There will always be a few people who disagree with the use of the taser. I would bet that if those people were being attacked or threatened they would have no problem using the taser or having the taser uses on their assailant. We should stop worrying about the tools the police use to protect themselves and the civilian population and concentrate on more pressing issues such as bringing our troops home or the rising cost of fuel.

Of course the taser corporation says it's safe, just like cigarettes were back in the 50's. I couldn't expect you to understand the science behind the inherent danger they pose

Where is the study you have done on tasers? I would love to read your work.
