The only thing I have against Goodwill is the managers are stuck up and bitchey . I've heard them being rude to thier employees .

I guess only an elite few can make it to manager ... WOOPEE...... You go girls .... Maybe I could have your job in another life ,

I agree !!! Move the shoes to the back of the store!!!! Sort them by size . You managers would have time to do that instead of sitting on your big lazy butts ....

My mom works there and loves it. I have never heard her say a word about the managers being mean or rude to her, if anything they are always helping her out!! Sounds like to me your just jealous, either you work there and the managers arent up your ass or you wish you were on the friendly crew of goodwill. Get a life!

Goodwill has new and used item's. Not everyone can afford new clothe's and kid's grow so fast.
I can afford to buy new stuff and do but I love to save so I find many item's at goodwill. And I alway's get comment's on how nicely my kid's are dressed.

I found a great wooden under cabinet wine glass rack there last week.I've been looking for a nice one for a while.
So before you bash it , go see for yourself.I find if you just stop in every now and then you'll find something good.
And PS, Ivé never seen used undergarment's there.
That's just some comedian trying to be funny.

There is a couple of bins in the back corner next to the pj's and bedspeads, comforters, etc. that have used panties and bra's.

I think it's funny though that people seemed so disgusted by the thought of buying used drawers but will buy up all kinds of shorts and pants. Lots of young and old people go commando these days you know. So you still are wearing crotch to crotch stuff any way you look at it. Same as when you buy clothes from a yard sale or a consignment store.

I like going to Goodwill. There are unique things in there that you could never find at Walmart or Kmart. I got a brand new weather radio (box never been opened) for 2 bucks. Got it home and hooked it up and set it so now I get the warning when bad weather is coming to my area. Houchen's had the same radio for 20 bucks (I think that was the price)

The only "bad" thing about Goodwill is that sometimes they have crazy prices on things that actually are cheaper when bought brand new at Walmart. Sometimes when you see something setting outside in the donation area and you go inside and wait for them to bring it out with the price on it...it never appears. I was waitng for 4 lawn chairs one day. I asked one of the guys how llng did he think it would be until they brought them out. He laughed and said "longer than you can stay here and wait for them". He said the manager decided she wanted them so they wouldn't be coming out on the floor.

I think that is wrong only because the employees that work in the store and in the back aren't allowed to buy anything unless they are off the clock yet the manager can do what she wants. Typical of the rules at most places though so what can you do ? Just drive by the managers house and look at those nice lawn chairs every now and then !! lol

Funny thing, YOU were the first person to post about nasty underwear and fried hair as if you are an authority on both subjects...then plead ignorance about both subjects when someone calls you on your remarks.

Quit trying so hard to be clever and cover your tracks when you make an idiot of yourself..giggle, giggle...it's not working so much, ya know ?

you know what gets me,people are so quick to say the things they do and they really don't know what they are talking about. the things that youare saying about Goodwill are not true.no body takes stuff from there if they did they would not have a job. in case you didn't know smarty pants they do have cameras.every body that works there goes to work to do one thing and that is to work. people like you wouldn't understand that. goodwill is there for a reason. next time you stop in ask one of the friendly associates what that reason is. maybe then you might not blabber about things that you know nothing about. next post some truths instead of lies.

Nope , not Peggy ... This ladies name starts with an [S}. Theres another one too ...

I think they should stay out on the floor and help their personel . I believe they are in that closet sized office talking on Topix . Oh and before you say it , I'm on here " YES " , but I'm not at work neglecting my job !!!

They should also follow the rules on buying ... I would imagine they take whatever they want , and personel is totaly afraid to say anything ..

get a life and leave the people with real jobs alone. if you don't like Goodwill and the people that work there don't go in there. i mean since you know so much about what is going on there you obviously shop there. or are you just snooping around so you can have a new story to tell on topix. a new not so true story. for once i would like to see proof of all these allegations. i bet you can't prove a thing. so until you can why don't find something else to occupy you're time. we the readers want proof!!!!!!

I like to shop in the Goodwills around Nashville. They are organized and have daily specials, such as, daily colored tags half-off, 10 clothes items, with the selected colored tag of the day, for $5, and the first Saturday of the month is half-off everything in the store. I wish the Goodwill here would also have specials like that.
