The more I look around at everything, the more I tend to think the Mayans were on to something...............

On to what? That the calendar would roll over to a new Baktun? Yeah, I' pretty sure they're right about that.

The Mayans never said a thing about the end of the world. The only word they used was "change", which, when you think about it, is the very definition of life. All of this "end of the orld" crap comes from nutty Harold Camping types.

Mayans be damned. They were nothing but a bunch of murderous beaners.

I'll be celebrating the Winter Solstice tomorrow evening in Nordic Pagan style. It's the real reason for the season.

what most fail to realize is that Mayans never predicted an end of the world. They predicted the start of a New Age, and if its the starts today or tomorrow it doesn't mean we will necessarily notice a change right away, but the ball may be rolling in that direction.

From what I have researched about the Mayan calendar, it was to mark the new age. We just finished the Age Of Pisces and will be starting the Age of Aquarius.

Even the Bible predicted the coming of the new age. The new testament is filled with FISH references. Fish being a symbol for the sign Pisces.

Jesus is said to have fed his people with two fishes and five loaves. The two fishes represent "Pisces" and the Age of Pisces. That is why Jesus is referred to as the "Great Fisherman."

Luke 22:08-10 says
Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,“Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
"Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked.
He said to them: "Look! When YOU enter into the city a man carrying an earthenware vessel of water will meet you. Follow him into the house into which he enters"

The sign for Aquarius is a man carrying a pitcher of water.
