You're absolutely right- but to them, the dollar menu at McDonald's is gourmet....
There food lacks seasoning. Bland. Need to stop the cafeteria style and make it all you can eat.

That's the way most people around here seem to like their food.(Not me, I love SPICE!). I've never in my life seen people eat such bland food, as I've seen them eat around here. When I first moved here, you couldn't even find oregano or red pepper flakes in the grocery stores....

found a hair in my mash potatoe Sunday afternoon told the waitress she told me it was mine stop trying to ruin their business. That one rude girl that work there Guess you thought your the only place to eat WRONG THINK AGAIN WON'T BE BACK
this is a flat out lie, if you had found a hair in your food the waitress would have offered you new food or your money back, they are trained to do so, the waitresses that were working sunday were some of our best, not a one would say that you are trying to ruin our business, and not a one that was working sunday was rude at all. we have a reputation of having very freindly people working for us and any REAL customer of ours knows that, you apparently have nothing better to do than get on here and tell flat out lies. we take every precaution to make sure our food is sanitary, all kitchen employees wear hair nets and our place is very clean. and if you would have had a REAL problem, it would have been handled very promp and profesionally.

These people trying to trash your restaurant aren't worth arguing with, Eric. They are probably from another restaurant in town that is jealous because their food sucks and nobody wants to eat at their place.I can think of a couple right off hand.(One on the sqaure comes to mind) You all have done a great job at Granny & Papas and these idiots are just jealous! Keep up the great work, Eric!

<quoted text>it sounds like you are saying you wouldn't object to the price if it had been all you could eat. If that is the case, then your gripe isn't the price it was the amount of food.
if this place is like the old colonial house, then it should go over. colonial house was a very successful restaurant here for over 20 years i guess back when the first owners the martin family had it.
The same cook they had. It should be the same thats where the idea came from. Short guy named Eric cooked for the Colonial House for years & years.

They didn't close because they couldn't make it. They closed because they are older people who are tire of the countless hours and hard work.

Then why did they start the business?(It's only been a few years since they opened)- If it were making money, they could have sold it.

Anyone know how I could get ahold of the dark haired waitress? She was always so friendly to me and seemed so unhappy at times. Maybe she needs a friend or a man who can give her what she lacks at home.

Considering maybe opening up a Family Home Cooking Restaurant beside the Dollar Store out Burkesville Road. Would like to hear thoughts on what everyone thinks and would it be supported? When I say home cooking I'm talking Iron Skillet , peeling potatoes, Fresh Meats, Specials for lunch and weekends. Opening at 6:00 am till last person leaves each day. Some of our Specials includes Skillet Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans or Pinto Beans, Corn, Sliced Tomatoes,
Corn Bread $$8.95 plus Drink and Taxes. many more Specials this just seems to be a favorite of all. Meals are prepared and brought to the table, If you like to make reservations for the entire family we will do that as well. We will also offer Company lunches / Dinner. So let me have your feedback help me to decide Glasgow.

Sounds nice, but the cheap bastids around here seem to think that you should be able to get a meal for $4, so you might have trouble. Also, with restaurants especially, it's usually not a good idea to try and make a go of it where others have failed. If others can't make it, it may be the location just isn't suited for a particular type of business.

Keystop gas didn't do too good there; it then sat empty for a long time; then Granny & Papa's didn't last too long....

You would do better if it was buffet. All you can eat. These men out here working want real food and lots of it and they are willing to pay!

Nudder probrem is rocation. That side of town near "The Kingdom". Bad part of town with rots of kneegroes. Look at Houchnes on Main St. It dump! Nice business no go on that side town. Most business and shopping done on other side town, people no want to drive all way over to opposite side, to Kingdom, just to eat meal.

Bad, bad rocation! Only good for kneegroes who live nearby and for people that pass by on way in and out of town from East.
