I would certainly like to know if this where my friends child or family. Regardless of how. Sometimes we have to find out other ways because someone in a moment of panic or heartbreak doesnt remember to call everyone. I know I have been their and forgot to contact some very important people. Thank god they found out through other means of communication.

I was at the hospital when it was all going on. I feel sorry for the baby I even cried and prayed for and had no idea who it was. Every child deserves a long healthy life. On the other hand I hope the parents get severely punished and their other daughter gets taken immediately! There is no excuse for this kind of accident!! You NEVER leave a baby alone in water even for a second! My daughter is 3 and I don't leave her alone in the bath EVER not even for a minute!! No one is that stupid! And don't feel to sorry for the dad anyway I didn't see him shed a tear! His face was not red or puffy no raspy voice, nothing. But he did find time right after his daughters uncalled for death to be a synical smart@ss. Then the parents were constantly going back in and out of the hospital, if that were my child they'd have to pry me out of her arms, but that's just me and any other decent person who loves their child.

this is horrible news, but how did the baby drown? & what was the baby doin alone in or near water? i would never leave my child near water bc the very fact tht things like this scare me to death, idk wat happend in this situation, but i could not imagine what this family is goin thru.... & it jus dont make since, a 7 mth. old drowned, how in the world, did they leave it in the tub, did it crawl & lean over in a bucket or the toilet? or did they do it intentionally.... i hope tht is not the case....

my prayers go out to the family...

unless you where there, you do not know the exact circumstances. What I do know, is for a fact, the parents do not do drugs. I have known them for almost ten years, and neighter one of them drink, or do illegal drugs. Mother just recently finished Western with her b.s. father only liked a semester for his. Both are hard working parents who adore their children. As far as what happened, I was not there, I only have been told the details from family and other friends, as well as information from police. What is most important right now, is that a 7 month old child has passed, and a family is devastated. Accidents can happen in seconds, and you never know when one could occur to you or your family. Put yourself in their place for just a brief moment and try to just imagine how it must feel to have just lost a child. Unless you have a child, you will never possibly know or understand that bond, and special form of love. To then lose that child is a fear I would not want to even try to imagine. Leave the details to first and formost-God. The police and social services will do their investigation. Please, do not bash the parents, or family. What good does bashing possibly do? There is more than enough negative already in this world without your added ignorance. You are only ASSuming when you get on her and ramble about something you do not know the complete details to. Nobody but the mother knows the exact details and circumstances at the given time it occured. Everyone else is just speculating and due to the information that was provided at the given time. Yes the child was in a bath tub when it occured. Perhaps the child began choking after recently eating while laying back in the tub, and the mother panicked, not knowing how to perform cpr? There are numerous possiblities, but just because you HEAR bathtub, and 7 month old, and the initial word "drowning" spoken over the scanner and with medical officials, does not mean that was the true cause. An autop. will be done as normal procedure, perhaps then other factors may be discovered. Please keep your statements and thoughts of negativity to yourself, putting them on here does no good. When you get on here and voice your opinions and anger, what good does it do? Does it make you feel better inside to re-read your little paragraph, calling the parents names, and saying what you would have done? Does that make you feel better? Honestly? Is it really at this point about making you feel better? Who matters right now concerning this issue? Is it you? or the greiving family? Just stop, and think before you hit "send" Doing and saying negative does what good at all? No one honestly cares at this moment what you would have done, or how you would re-act. As I mentioned, it's not about you. So just let it be, the family is enduring enough. If you feel compailed to voice your opinion that badly, go stand in front of the mirror first, and practice what you are going to say. Watch yourself and listen to what you are saying, is it really that important that you must post it for the whole internet world to have access to? Honestly?

the truth

Sometimes when people say things it comes from a place of truth yet to you it may sound as if they are bashing. I have tried and tried to see in my mind the circumstances where a 7 month old baby could drown but the only scenario that makes sense is an accident in which the parents also drown.

If we all just speak to the mirror and never bring these things up then there will be many more untimely deaths for children. We learn from our mistakes and maybe other parents can learn from this horrible accident/mistake.

Someone needs to be held accountable for this childs life if the child died due to neglect. I hate it that it may be your friend but to sweep it under the rug and justify this because the parents were good to themselves (going to school, not drinking or doing drugs, etc) doesn't change the facts in any way.

A 7 month old baby that doesn't walk or swim...doesn't walk out to the pool or climb into a bath tub and drown by accident. It is because of a parents neglect.

Those may be harsh words to you but the truth in cases like this is never easy to hear, say or accept.
