what is going on with this place? seen in the paper that it will be closed at the end of the year and no longer open for business...all boats gotta go until someone opens it back up....does a private individual operate this place? If so how can someone screw up a cash cow like this......it costs a fortune to slip a boat at this place....something is fishy at that place anyway!!!!

i have paid for a slip till may 2013 as all the other boaters at the narrows. who pays back six months of money alreddy paid.

You be screwed,just like everybody else there, and as far as that goes,ALL boat owners on that lake . Expect slip fees to double, at the very least. A dentist named Flunk, Fluck, or some such and Lyin wayne shelton now control All four marina,s including Peninsula.Will completely kill that lake within a year.

I don't think he owns the Peninsula, but he does own Walnut Creek, now the Narrows and the State Dock, its going to be a monopoly. And slip rent will probably go through the roof because he can.

Can an indiviual who owns lake frontage set up a small dock and rent spots in it? Or does the dock have to be part of the Barren River State Park to be allowed to charge rent? If you have to slip your boat then maybe you could find a private individual who would let you dock your boat at their property? Sucks that it still wouldn't help those of you with big boats though...
