And the government stepping in and regulating and controlling the health care decisions of every American citizen...gives you comfort??? lol They are the biggest crooks out there. The insurance companies are small potatoes compared to the mighty greedy government. Who is in charge of all those ridiculously igh insurance payments and restrictions when it comes to medicare? THE GOVERNMENT!! And you think they will fix things or even help?? lol I have some prime ocean front property down by possum creek that you need to look at and buy...because evidently you will "buy" anything. lol
Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement costs are based on the average insurance costs and payments in that particular area. Its not the government who sets the costs or payments or reimbursements. Its the private insurance companies, who are not regulated and are running amock with the average citizen at their mercy. Medicare reviews the health care costs in an area along with insurance costs, payments and reimbursements and then they determine how much they will pay, and how much your deductable and co=pays will be. So you see, its not government, it is the insurance companies.
We need to get a grip on the fraud. Millions and millions every year are stolen by false claims, by doctors kickbacks for prescriptions or tests or hospital stays, by therapists, by lab companies, and even by foreign countries who see us as easy pickings. That would help keep the costs for us down. Thieves making it unbearable for the average person.

Larry you are full of shit. Evidently you have never been involved in the medical field or the insurance field. Medicare is a government run program and you want us to believe they just turned everything over to the insurance companies and then Obama reformed them with the stroke of a pen? Here in the real world...

Ok Stupid, you need to get glasses or learn to read.

I said the medicare and medicaid reimbursment amounts are based on what the private insurances costs in a particular area. Never did I say that medicare or medicaid were turned over to private insurance companies.

I have been involved in the insurance industry for more than 25 years.

<quoted text>I wonder if they are still going to screw the cash paying patient like they have been doing or if TJ's rules will put a stop to it. The docs at Primary care got 60 bucks from medicare for a blood test. Same blood test for a cash paying patient 300 dollars. Yep, a bunch of real stand-up kind of people! God willing I'll get to a hospital in Bowling Green or Louisville instead of having to let one of those crooks treat me for anything.
If they were paid $60 by Medicare it's because that is the allowable amount payable by Medicare. Which means they billed 300 they only paid 60 and they have a signed contract stating they will write-off the rest. My office visit is $150 for a refill, but my copayment is $20 and my insurance only allows $70, they get $20 from me and $50 from my insurance write-off the rest as stated in my insurance contract.

<quoted text>No, you were correct. It is the Family Medicine Center of T.J. Samson Comm. Hosp. Dr. Bale and his associates are not employees of TJ. The New TJSPC will be in the old Wal-Mart building specializing in outpatient services.
Yes, all physicians at dr. Bales office as of January 1,2011 are TJ employees

Very good post. One small correction however, Medicare deductibles. co-ins, and co pay are set across the board not reflective to an area. The rest of the pricing is though as you stated. Thank you for posting this information. Perhaps it will shed some light or make people see a different view.

Actually Dr Bale and Travis' office is now owned by TJ Health Partners, which is owned by TJ Samson.
