1. Christians believe in creation NOT evolution
2. To make creation work, we all had to have come from one couple (adam and eve)

Explain black people, asian people, etc.

Q:

If god created us all in his image, then why dont we all look alike?

1: Evolution is a lie- It has never been observed nor demonstrated; It is physically impossible, as it contradicts the very laws of science; and blatant LIES are used to support it- such as the idea that human fetuses have "gill slits", which was proven to be fraudulent over 100 years ago, yet is still taught in the textbooks. And the FACT that there are NO fossils which show one species morphing into another- only changes among the same species.

2: DNA evidence DOES confirm that we all came from a common ancestor. We alkl have the same bloo, and organs and physical make-up- there are only slight differences in physical characteristics- just as there are differences between parents and children or brothers from the same parents. As Adam and Eve's descendants populated the world and began to move further and become isolated from each other, certain characteristics became isolated and prevalent among various groups of their descendants. Adam and Eve were perfect and complete, and contained the DNA from whence all races and characteristics were isolated into various groups, as DNA was isolated and information lost- just as like what happens with animals and the fossil record- when changes are observed within species, it is always a decrease in genetic information, and not adding of new info (which woulod not be the case if evolution were true).

If you really want to get into it and see how silly the idea of evolution is, google "Kent Hovind debate"- Mr. Hovind has debated over 100 evolutionary scientists and professors- sometimes several at a time, and always makes mincemeat of them. Many academics now refuse to debate him, because he blows them away. He also offers $1 Million to anyone who can scientifically prove that evolution ever occurred.

If that's the best smart can do while trying to prove evolution, he/she should stay off topix. Personally I believe in evolution and don't find it incompatible with religion in any way. No point in debating it, most people have their mind made up; just be aware that your children are taught that evolution is science and science is fact. Have you ever taken the time to read a 7th grade science book? You might learn a little about the big bang which (in my opinion) just substantiates the theory of a supreme being.

It's taught a lot earlier than 7th grade. I teach science in elementary school and our textbooks cover the big bang; dinosaurs becoming extinct 65 million years ago; the evolution of modern man from homo habillis to homo erecutus to homo sapiens; neanderthal man being a close relative (leaving out many steps but you get the ideal; all those fossils are available for viewing). Nowhere do any textbooks tell the story of God creating Adam and Eve, then their children having sex with each other to populate the earth (isn't that incest) nor does it tell us the earth is only 5000 yrs old. Instead we learn that the earth is 4.5 million years old. Science and religion can go hand in hand; you just can't interpret the bible literally.

Nowhere in Genesis does it say that Adam and Eve were the ONLY 2 people created in the beginning. If they were the only 2 created how do you explain where Cain's wife came from?

Where does it say it was an Apple? It talks of a sweet fruit from a tree...many fruits come from trees.

Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth

Your id says "smart".
God created each of us different. Isn't that amazing that we have a God who could do that. Our fingerprints are all different, DNA is all different. How amazing is that?
I don't have all the answers, but I know God and He does. That is enough for me. He has a plan for all of us.

OTJ, do a little research before you post such ridiculous claims.

1. This is all about Recapitulation theory.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recapitulation_t...

If they're still using "gill slits" in textbooks to support Evolution (incorrectly), then the problem is not with the theory - it's a problem with the textbooks!

Don't forget that there are many cases of items in humans and other animals of vestigal organs - ones which had a function when our environment was different, but no longer needed.

2. Your claim is true, but any relationship to the story of Adam and Eve is purely make-believe. You change or explain the story to fit the facts. This is not the first time Christianity has done this. Religion evolves too you know.

3. Are you kidding me? Just read the section on "The Hovind Theory"

Why does every thread OTJ posts on instantly become about OTJ? When you guys start in on him, the topic of the thread is lost forever. Just ignore him and maybe he will go away.

perhaps it's because he/she/it has to weigh in with false facts, half lies, and oddly spaced "cus" words? anything to feel important.

Personally, I think since the creation of Adam and Eve can not be taught in school because of "separation of church and state", the theory of evolution also should not be taught. EVOLUTION is a THEORY, NOT FACT!!!!

I am a Christian and don't believe in evolution. The Bible teaches creation of life by God, not by evolution.

My point is that if both creation by God and evolution can not be taught in school, then neither should be. It can be very confusing to children.

if you believe in evolution, then there is no way you can believe there is one God. God is the creator of everything, and that is just the facts.

There is no such thing of seperation of church and state, it is just a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danaberry Baptist, it is not in the Constitution. I think Seperation of Church and State is blown way out of porportion. If your a Christian why wouldn't you want it taught in school? I personally would love to see Creation taught in Schools
