Or another bank or another check cashing/loan place. Seems as if Glasgow wont rest until they have a Mexican restaurant, a bank, a check cashing business and a drug store on every corner. We are just about there! lol

Why does Ely's want to put a pharmacy right behind another pharmacy? If that's the only piece of land they could find then ok, but I'd have chosen somewhere else if there was another option.

why WOULDN'T they want to be next to Walgreens? Competing right next to each other will probably be more effective for Ely's than trying to do so on the other side of town.

Lots of businesses do that. They hope to piggyback off the others advertising and steal their customers. Home Depot used to have a policy where they wouldn't open a new store unless it was within sight of a Lowes. Car lots do the same thing, as do auto parts stores. Common business practice.
