Well hell then this changes everything the victim had it comming to him then. Just like a rape victim that wore a skirt to high or showed to much clevage! Take back all the charges, this kid deserved to be sodomized with a finger with Icy Hot on it! Thank god we got kids like Eck and Studer who look out after the other kids in school. Keep up the good work both of you!

After reading the comments made about the Diane Sibley case, the police department, the Hazing incident, those alledgedly involved, the derogatory remarks made about the victims, the victims families, teachers, coaches, the judge and the county attorney etc., it is easy to understand why Beloit is having so many incidents. It is full of people who cannot forgive, who are quick to throw stones at others, who lack compassion for those going through these kinds of things. Everyone who has commented on these issues is such a detrimental way, needs to get on their knees and ask their God for forgiveness. They need to pray their children, their friends, and their family do not experience such tragedies. People on all sides of these events are victims. The bullies now are those who continue to make hurtful, sarcastic comments to others. Please forgive, show compassion and help Beloit and these families recover from these horrible experiences.

Are you suggesting that a rape victim deserved to be raped if they were showing too much clevage and was wearing a short skirt?! I think you or anyone who thinks a person DESERVES to be raped, touched inappropriately, beaten, etc. is crazy! That statement is as idiotic as saying "a person deserves to die if they get in a drunk drivers way"!

I'm hoping your statement was sarcastic and you don't firmly believe that.

If you don't think my post was not sarcasm fix your sarcasm meter. I don't think that way at all but the post I was replying to was trying to take some heat off of Eck and company because the victim is now in trouble himself.

Kansas State frat suspended over hazing

MANHATTAN, Kan.(AP)-- A judicial board has suspended the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at Kansas State University for a September hazing incident that left a student was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning.

An 18-year-old freshman was hospitalized in late September after he was found unresponsive at the off-campus fraternity house. The man recovered and is still a member of the chapter.

The Interfraternity Council imposed the sanctions on Phi Delta Theta. The fraternity will be on probation until September 2011, will have to pay fines and won't be allowed to have any event involving alcohol until February 2011.

Pat Bosco, K-State's vice president for student life and dean of students, says the school was "fortunate to have a teachable moment rather than a memorial service."

If Phi Delta Theta violates its probation, Kansas State would withdraw recognition of the house.

um... does that really matter?? I go to these homecomings all the time and pretty much all the guys dance like that. There was no physical harm done. Some people are just more sensitive then others.

" Every person should ask themselves just one question before they open their mouth and say anything!! If it was you or your family that was the victim, what would you say then? Some will say punishment is enough and others not. We all have opinions. But when the legal system passes a sentence that does not protect the public in the best way possible to hopefully (note hopefully)prevent it from happening again or to ensure that a guilty party truly gets the maximum help possible, what faith in the legal system is left? Thank goodness everyone has their own Faith in God to hold on to.

Why does the County Attorney and Judge not make public what information we are entitled to after all is said and done so we have the facts to deal with? Do more residents in Beloit need to register to vote and actually go out and vote? Who is elected is the starting point of these issues.
