Okay, what's the deal now? Josh Ball resigned from GSPD, as I understand it. Does that mean that the town I live in has only one (1) police officer on duty? How is there 24/7 coverage now? Not like there actually really was before. I've met both Matt Mullins, and Josh Ball. Mullins, I met when he pulled me over and handed me a speeding ticket. Oh well, I WAS speeding. Ball, I met in an unofficial capacity. Nice guy, unfortunately he's no longer with GSPD. It's definitely the towns loss.
Regardless of my feelings for either officer, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. From what I understand, Chief Mullins lives in Abingdon. How is he supposed to provide 24/7 coverage, even when he IS "on call"? I'm not aiming this at Mullins, this is directed at the Town Of Glade Spring, I suppose. WHY AM I PAYING TOWN TAXES? The only thing I see that I'm getting my moneys worth with, is the Garbage tipping fee. My water/sewer comes from the Service Authority, my police protection seems to come from the county Sheriffs Office. Thank god we don't rely on the town to provide PAID Fire/Rescue. If we did, our houses would burn to the ground and we'd never get an ambulance response.
