#1 Jan 22, 2006
hmm What ever happened to "Your Innocent until PROVEN guilty?" my wife drives my car into Girard and gets a ticket I am Guilty of speed thats is SO unconstitional. then i have to fight for my innocence. what about my points on my insurance. these police are the ones that hae to follow they law and get upset when people abuse the system are they not the ones abusing it now??

As a law enforcement officer, I would be against the use of cameras being used as a means of enforcing traffic laws. The owner of the vehicle in question would recieve the traffic citation in the mail and who is to say who was driving the vehicle. To take the citation to court could cost a person a days wages, not to mention the cost the tax payers would have pay to allow a person his or her day in court. Would this really save money?? Lets not be so quick to replace a human being with another piece of equipment....

even if cameras were put out and tickets were issued from those cameras that still will not reduce the crime for that town. Plus tax payers are not gunna want to pay more taxes to support such an ordeal when people bitched about the little secret road side camera.
