----— A funeral service will be held Saturday for Lillian Banoczi Scutillo of 15 W. Connelly Blvd., Sharon. She passed away at 5:11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 84.

Ms. Scutillo was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Sharon, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Urban Banoczi.

She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Sharon High School.

Lillian was employed for 10 years at the former North Side Hospital, Youngstown, where she worked in the sterile processing and distribution department. She previously worked for six years in the display department at the former Sharon Store.

Lillian was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermitage.

She enjoyed crafting, reading and antiquing and was extremely fond of animals. A self-proclaimed “beachcomber,” she loved walking the beaches, searching for shells and driftwood.

Surviving are a loving and devoted daughter, Lillian Sandra Scutillo, Howland Township, Trumbull County; a son, Thomas Scutillo, Warren, Ohio; a sister, Joan Maloney, Baltimore; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Banoczi; and a sister, Mary Yurco.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Mercer County, 3005 E. State St., Hermitage, PA 16148.
