Flu clinic Saturday but Nov. 21 date is canceled

County health officials say they have enough H1N1 vaccine to hold a second free walk-in clinic, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Watsonville Youth Center, 30 Maple Ave.

I think the Brits have it right...by invitation only. If you are in the high risk group, you are called in by your doctor to get a shot. No one else has to stand in line. There are no lines. Just a doctor appt. Brillant!

Does anyone know - do we need proof of things like asthma? Or are they just going to believe me?

You will be believed by the health workers. I, too, have chronic asthma and was able to get a shot. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID; I AM FIGHTING A WICKED COUGH AS I TYPE. I'VE BEEN USING MY NEBULIZER THE PAST FEW DAYS. I am convinced that I would be hit with this flu if I were exposed.

BTW, I am a second-grade teacher, which puts me in the "line of fire" as far as I'm concerned!

No proof needed, just show up and stand in line. Had a friend who went to earlier clinic and got the shot.
