Ok here we go again another Judge coming from Tyler. All you can hope is she isn't like the last one from Tyler who made a ruling on the PROBATION OFFICERS there. We will see if this is 6 in one hand and 1/2 dozen in the other.

It's about time this trial dodger goes to court and he quits running up costs for the county. There have acutally been faster trials in his court and that is pretty pathetic. We'll be watching to see if justice is served in Gilmer. It's very doubtful. He will most likely get off with a slap on his wrist for having done so much wrong. Pretty sad a lawyer playing a lowly county judge and he still does not know the law.

Shawanda: I think this is about Betterton & Crabtree. Although all are as you say TRIAL DODGERS. You said: Pretty sad a lawyer playing a lowly county judge and he still does not know the law. He knows the law, the LAW OF UPSHUR COUNTY. You don't have to be a lawyer to be a judge, only be in the CLICK in the county. And make sure you go to Church every Sunday. You must be a Methodist, Baptist or Mormon in the county and you will get elected. Some think I am hard on Religion in the area, but I only look at what they have produced and the facts.

Folwer was elected because of his father in law that use to own an insurance agency and is fairly well known. The father in law sent Fowler to law school to help insure that his daughter could be supported adequately. Fowler has no internal motivation of his own. He just rides the wave. That is why he takes a county judges salary in Gilmer. As I understand it, anyone can be a county judge as long as you are voted into the position. A housewife could be the county judge if the town elected her. After this embarrassment I am sure that Fowlers little career is over in Gilmer. I know, he like other attorneys in Gilmer, are eyeing the district judge position, once Lauren Parish leaves the bench. None of the attorneys there have the balls to take her on. I've known Fowler forever and he is as crooked as they come. I'm glad to see that he is now on the other side of the bench and he is running from the law like a coward trying every tactic to dodge going to trial. Only the GUILTY do this.

James: Judge Richard Davis is on the Flower case, he is from Canton. The trial is set for September. I was talking about the Attorney Diane DeVasto from Tyler, (see post # 1.) I have heard of this insurance guy, and from what yall keep saying that is why Flower was elected tell me alot. The people in the area CAN'T THINK FOR THEMSELVES. Looks like Daddy-in-Law made a bad choice (alone with the people of Upshur county). Not only does he have a Son-in-Law (I would call him a son of something else), but now he may have an Out-Law. All involved in this has drug the county through the mud. The only way to clean it up is up to the people. It has been a dirty place ever since I have known it. There are a few good people there and when I say few I MEAN FEW.
