Although the stylists are FANTASTIC, I refuse to go here again because of the rudeness and sarcasm that was used towards my children by the owner.
I was informed, after using this salon for over 2 years, that I shouldn't bring my children (that are very well behaved) with me to my appt. even though they usually have their hair trimmed while my color is processing.
She then proceeded to make my daughters sit in another room where I could not see them or keep an eye on them. When my daughters had to use the restroom, she scolded them for walking around when they were just making their way to the restroom. She also refused to let them go to the restroom together. One of daughters was so intimidated that she held it until we left, and told me in the car she didn't go because she was scared. Her attitude towards my girls was so obvious that even the stylists were talking about it!!
If you are going to run a salon for "adults only" then there needs to be a sign or something stating that. I have been complimented several times on my daughters' behavior while at the salon, and I find it disheartening that after leaving my girls told me they were scared to go back and didn't want to have their hair cut there anymore!
Again, I'd like to reiterate the fact that the 2 stylists I have used there are absolutely WONDERFUL, but be wary of going here is you suspect you may have an occasion where you need to bring your kids. I know as a working mom, sometimes you can't avoid having your kids with you.

I was there that day the client above was and she couldn't be more correct. I personally witnessed the owner Robin's rudeness. All the good stylists and nail techs have left. One can only assume poor management!! Feel free to stop by anytime and see the lack of stylists/nail techs. She is only hiring fresh out of school because nobody good wants to work for her. Go figure! She's done nothing but lie and bash all the sweet girls that have left. Does that sound like a Salon owner with any kind of class? I would recommend any salon in Longview over JBraden any day.

Well, any self respecting mom would have addressed that situation immediately.Did you honestly let someone else "make" your kids sit in a different room where you could not see them?? If reading between the lines, I suspect that the "well behaved" children had some issues that day, huh??

Sounds more like you are one of the wonderful stylists who did not measure up to their standards...you could use a little bit of class....

Wow I can definatly feel the "love". I was looking for a salon and obviously have second thoughts about using this one. I came looking for reviews and instead it seems i found a catty dispute. It looks like "wondering" is a little bias to say the least. Sounds almost like it could be the owner and couldn't handle a little criticism. Just a bit of friendly advice "wondering" not everyone is going to love you and I think part of being a good owner is to be able to accept criticism and improve off of it. Not to get on here and talk ugly about past employees (which might I add doesn't reflect well on your character).

NEVER AGAIN

I for one can say I will never use this salon again!! The owner completely flaked on me, leaving me in the hands of a stylist who could use a little more practice to say the least. I also saw the aftermath of my friends eyelash extensions. It was definately a cheap job done with cheap products; of course this was not a cheap service which ruined her own lashes. It looked like nothing more than the tabs you get at Walgreens. I've also heard that some of the girls are doing services with no licenses!! This is insane to me how an owner would let something like this go on in her business. Would definately have to side with the post earlier and say it must be poor management. It's a gorgeous salon with lots of potential but from all I have heard around town I feel like the owner won't be happy until there's a for sale sign in the yard!!! Anyways happy new year jbraden. Best of luck

Actually this is a really great salon. The owner does my hair and I've had other services there as well. I have always had great experiences will all the technicians. It is a lovely spa, well well appointed in decor and layout....I am also in the "spa" business as a massage therapist & estheticianso I notice things from both sides of the coin, both as a guest and on the service providers. Although I work on children, I prefer that they do not accompany a adult guest while I am performing services. I have a cozy waiting room with sofas but find that unattended children DO GET into things & I find it hard to focus on my guest while I am wondering if they are getting into my facial room equipment or into my desk, both of which have happened. I used to prefer that other arrangements be made if children were brought in, but now I allow them to remain in the room with their adults while giving massages. I strive for a nice quiet relaxing experience when giving or getting a service and children are not always conducive to that...even little angels have their devil days & if we are being honest, we all know that. The owner strives for perfection and as I've noticed in other salons, the younger service providers have a totally different view of a work ethic. So maybe, just maybe, you might realize that no one is perfect & perhaps the owner might have had a bad day....I have cultivated several children spa clients and love the fresh perspective they bring to my work, but as an owner, I also see the need for focusing on all the guests.....

Good Riddance to Crazy Robin!!!.....Everyone knew this bipolar psycho salon "owner" wldnt last too long after all she only got the salon bc her ex husband slash sugar daddy financed it along with her business partner & lover Leslie.....she ran off everyone that was more popular with clientele than her...I'm glad the girls got away when they did...they were way too good for JBraden.......R.I.P.
